Ayurveda Oil Massage

This massage is derived from Ayurveda. It is the oldest surviving complete medical system in the world. Ayurveda Massage is a scientific method of effective cures of disease through the power of massage, by using different kinds of herbal oil.

In Ayurveda, the human body constitutes three functional entities, the balance of which maintains health. Acknowledging the importance of massage, all special treatments are formulated with a holistic approach to the body and mind. Treatment in Ayurveda involves a life-style consultation and the actual treatment - a cleansing of body, mind and soul. Ayurveda teaches that an imbalance in any one of these dimensions leads to 'ill being'. As we eat and sleep every day, so should we also massage and discharge our wastes every day. For different kinds of diseases, different type of massages and oil massages are prescribed.

Now it is known that massage increases the production of white blood corpuscles and antibodies, which provide more resistance against viruses and diseases. This helps the defense mechanism in the body and increases immunity towards environmental changes. In this way massage is a protector, preserver and a rejuvenator, increasing self-confidence and will power. To massage is to exercise the nervous system.

Pressure Therapy

Acupressure is an ancient  healing method that involves applying pressure to certain meridian points on the body to relieve pain. The human body has fourteen "meridians" that carry energy throughout the body. These meridians start at the fingertips, connect to the brain, and then connect to the organ associated with the specific meridian.
Acupressure deals with all the aspects of a person as a whole: body, emotions, mind, and spirit as one, not as separate parts. It relaxes muscular tension and balances the vital life forces of the body. Acupressure can help with the following:
1. Relieve stress and tension
2. Relax mind and body
3. Increase blood circulation
4. Aid in the removal of toxic wastes
5. Provide relief from head, neck and shoulder aches
6. Promote the healing of injuries
7. Increase energy levels
8. Increase overall feeling of well-being
9. Decreasing labor pains
10. Loose weight
The client lies fully clothed on a soft massage table or floor while the practitioner presses gently on points situated on various parts of the client's body. The session is non-invasive and gentle. An average session lasts for about one hour. However, most clients normally require a number of sessions to complete a treatment.
