How Heero Got His Name: HEero. HE in Heero is singular, which is ONE. Gundam Zero-One

Heero is a gundam pilot with exceptional battle abilities. Heero has battle abilities beyond other gundam pilots, and also is very dedicated to his mission. Even though he has a cold appearance (sorta like Squall), underneath lies a kind, caring person. He never shows his sensitive side (which I don't know if it even exist!), but always seems to eventually pass or destroy any obstacle in his way. He has a sense of humor (or he wouldn't be human), he expresses this sense in Gundam Wing: Episode 1, "The Shooting Star She Saw" nicknamed the "Tickle Me Elmo on speed laugh".
Fact: Heero isn't even Heero's real name, just a code name, he went through most of the mission with over 200 bruises and broken bones (which don't even show on X-rays...), and no one even seems to call him by his true name (not even the professor).
