Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Founded in the year of light 1914. By 3 Driven, Dedicated and Determined Men who broke away from the status quo of an "exclusive" to form an organization that believed in the "inclusive we." This was exemplified by the motto "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity."

The Alpha Beta Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was charted on April 29, 1999 on the campus of Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia under the graduate chapter of Kappa Alpha Sigma. Charter members include Al Franklin, Levar Gilford, Xenopon Cater, Alonzo Roberson, and Tony Harris

Following the principles of "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity "the Alpha Beta Theta Chapter has constantly remained a force of change on the campus of Southern Polytechnic State University. The first two initiates are Bro. Trae Johnson and Bro. Perry Mattis. In addition the 1st Alpha line includes Members Bro. Demurio Starks Bro. Gary Brooks Bro. Rayshawn Marshman

Bro. Xenopon Cater serves as current president of the chapter, under his leadership the Alpha Beta Theta Chapter looks forward to continuing to be a influential organization on campus,
