If it's a real cracker of a question the UACMC webmaster will put in this section of frequently asked questions.

Q: Why should I join Upper Avon Car Maintenance Club?
A: You should apply to join if you have a real enthusiasm for cars and want to learn more from the experts. The club was set up to encourage young people to learn the basics of car maintenance and have fun taking part in club activities such as Karting and driving experience lessons. If you are a young person who has the level of interest and commitment to learn and have fun, apply now!
Q: What will I learn at Upper Avon Car Maintenance Club?
A: You will be taught the basics of car maintenance and a few fun extra's! For a full course guide take a look at the course page here. During the course you will become familiar with the basic systems of the car and have hands on experience of maintenance work. From the start you'll be getting in on the action and taking an active part in the classes!
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Nothing! The car maintenance course is completely free. Thanks to Salisbury County Council and Upper Avon School who provide the funding for the courses - you pay nothing. Extra curricular activities, which are entirely optional but great fun, do require payments from the students. Activities include visits to aviation maintenance units, driving experience lessons and Karting! Upper Avon Car Maintenance club is a non-profit making organisation.
Q: Any there any exams or assessments?
A: There are no formal assessments or examinations.
Q: How many can be accepted on the course?
A: Because of health and safety considerations and teaching constraints, the number of students will be approximately 10. Apply now!
Q: How do I join Upper Avon Car Maintenance Club?
A: It's a piece of cake! Send us an email with your full name, tutor group and phone number. We'll then get back to you with details if you've been accepted. Click here to join!

Q: How often are the classes?
A: When the course starts it will be held every Tuesday evening at Upper Avon School. Details will be supplied when your application has been accepted.
Q: What car's do I get to work on?
A: Upper Avon Car Maintenance Club has two typical student cars. A stunning Peugeot 205 and a magnificent Ford Fiesta! Both are in perfect working condition until the students get their hands on them! (Cars may vary)

Q: Are teachers allowed?
A: Yeah, of course they are. As long as they behave themselves.
