NEXT COURSE STARTS SOON!

Latest News: New course being prepared. Starting date not yet decided. Details to follow.

You may be interested to know that the club runs the course twice a year.

Its aim is teach students the fundamentals of car maintenance as an evening activity. It will be held on a weekday evenings during term time and attended by Upper Avon School students, (teachers are welcome if they behave themselves!).

The head instructor is the Senior Technician at Rangers Peugeot, Durrington. Our volunteer instructors range from qualified parents to soldiers from 19 Tank Transporter Workshop.

The funding has been provided by a school grant and from the Salisbury Council development fund as well as support from Rangers Garage of Durrington.

The workshop is large and well stocked with tools and two typical teenage style cars to get you hands on! The club has a range of hands-on teaching aids - two small cars, a 4 cylinder 16V engine and lots of other interesting automotive bits and pieces.

Once you have successfully completed the course you will receive a certificate of completion and a real sense of achievement. There are no formal exams or assessments - all you need is enthusiasm and good attendance.
