Through my Menominee Culture I have learned that I am of the Bear Clan, which represents strength and power for my people.  I have learned some of my language and many of our traditions, beliefs and ways of life. I often listen to legends told by my Menominee elders.

I am a descendant of Chief Sitting Bear of the Arikara Tribe, which makes my family Hereditary Chieftains of the Arikara people.  Our family was brought up traditionally and we believe in keeping our heritage strong. In March of 2000, I was injured in an ATV accident, resulting in 2 broken arms.  Although, I had two casts I was determined not to let my disability prevent me from my traditional dancing.

I am the Granddaughter of Nan & Rodney Waupoose (Menominee), Audrey O'Kimosh (Menominee/Arikara) and Leroy Stick (Menominee).
