Desc.: Commander Amarao works for the BII, the Bureau of Interstellar Immigration. He makes references that he doesn’t like the sour drinks but only the sweet ones, like Naota. He wears huge eyebrows made of seaweed, which sole purposes are to make him look more mature and to block his head from utilizing NO.

In episode 5 his eyebrows fall off and Haruko uses the NO in his head to pull out a small guitar slingshot. This symbolizes that even thought Amarao is a full-grown man he is not very mature. In fact, it is the sour drinks that symbolize maturity in this series, and once you’ve outgrown the sweet things you gain maturity.
