(Proposed)
Selection of qualified personnel, mainly
of people who, by their work or efforts
(see the advert of the book in the right
column, or the organizations on the projects
page for an example of such minds), have
shown their insight and awareness of the
true causes of the African predicament,
and have proposed workable alternatives
to the resolution of the problems.
The initial recruitment, the forming of
the organization, will start by correspondence.
Interested persons will be required
to show proof of the efforts they have publicized,
or activities in which they have been involved.
The posts will also remain open to applicants
who qualify on a purely academic basis.
Nevertheless, the emphasis of the core of
the organization will be on effort, insight
and experience, then later, or when deemed
necessary, the former will apply. All applicants
will be required to send a curriculum vitae.
Posts will be given to individuals on a
meritocractic order.
In time, if the funds are sufficient, the
selected will be required to meet, and,
when possible, to create a policy. Further, they will have
to iron out some differences, and where
this is not possible, are expected to agree
to differ, or to educate their colleagues
on the validity of their points of view.
Further, they will be required to contribute
to a program of education of future employees.
For this they will be expected to come up
with subjects they deem as essential to
the curriculum, the structure of the curriculum,
and will come together at an appointed time
to create a discipline from their combined
accumulated knowledge to use for the education
of personnel on the real causes of Africa's
predicaments. This course has to involve
an element of de-brainwashing since the
average African's psyche is wayward. The
advice or education given by western or
eastern institutions rarely takes into account
the fact that the third world's failures
in the social and economic spheres are due
to an adherence to strategies that do not
work, which have their root in neocolonialism,
and were created to maintain this system,
which was, after all, the aim of the imperialist's
dream.
The persons thus selected, or educated are
expected to work in the most effected areas,
to, for example monitor, give advice, and
sometimes work together, or alongside established
authorities, charities, NGO's, or government
bodies, whose emphasis is for example the
alleviation of the suffering that people
in these regions endure through, for example,
food aid, or medical aid, as opposed to
a concerted action to alleviation of conditions
of poverty that are to blame for the very
ailments experienced by the affected, the
epidemics, which cause many to have ill
mental and physical health, which, in sick
people, may interfere with recovery, preventing
them from reacting positively to drugs or
complex medical procedures and equipment,
for example.
The organization will be active in raising
the awareness that to help, or launch a
campaign of prevention for epidemics, or
give recommendations on better hygiene,
or sanitation for societies prone to diseases
spread through such channels is only effective
when the concerned people have the capacity
to respond to the advice, which is not the
case in circumstances of extreme poverty.
High crime rates, prostitution, child slavery,
etc., are activities that come into being,
exist and thrive in the midst, and because
of poverty. The removal of the evil itself
should be the main objective of this movement.
This will quickly remedy the situation,
as has been aptly observed already by many
in countries where this move has become
successful. The rapid spread of certain
diseases will be halted, if not stopped
when the poverty rampant in the third world
is effectively tackled.
Removing poverty requires concentration
on the causes of this poverty. Here, campaigns
to end negative interference by third parties
will be supported, and where these are failing,
more effective alternatives will rigorously
be sought. The organs already fighting to
drop third world debt will be supported,
and where they are bearing no fruit, the
strategy will be to give advice on alternative
routes to take, etc.
The movement will also busy itself with
the fight against ignorance, a prerequisite
to the eradication of poverty, if active,
positive involvement by the local population
in the projects, and eventual independence
is to be expected. Active enlightenment
to effected communities or individuals in
the form of education by qualified personnel,
with the above mentioned methods and the
discipline(s) created by the organization will
be carried out as necessary.
Other
activities will include direct medical and
food aid, shelter, and advise on nutrition;
encouraging government participation in
projects deemed necessary by regional employees;
funding and, if necessary, directing active
NGO's; coordinating and updating activities
throughout the third world, organizing protests
when moves deemed to be against the well-being
of Africans are in progress and cannot be
stopped by other means, or, as demonstrations
go, to bring the event to the attention
of the world community, and raise awareness
of the wrongs that they will cause if the
move goes through, etc.
Note: If you decide to contribute
to this project (see below), your name will
automatically be submitted to the mailing
list of donators. You will receive the entire
program (a more detailed account of what
you have read above), developments, and
changes to the program for the duration,
and will be kept updated of activities and
the progress made, or successes achieved.
You will also be welcome to contribute your
ideas, to give your opinions, or vote on
proposals. Unsubscribing to this service
remains your right.
