This was an excellent film and packed great action and some strange sequences.

Although I liked THE FIRST POWER and THE FALLEN (Denzel Washington) more, I have to say that this one packed more comedy and for the B movie lover it was great.

I think that it wasn't a very serious film but considering that Craven grew up with only Disney films, this was a very good horror flick.

I rented this one along with HELL RAISER, RETRIBUTION, and DAWN OF THE DEAD. Compared these movies (except for DAWN OF THE DEAD), this flick seemed very much like a horror comedy, but then again, this isn't Stephen King or Clive Barker or Dean Koontz so I had diffuculty scolding him.

And RETRIBUTION had bad acting.

I give it three stars. One off because of some of the stupidity in the sequences: a ghost murderer chasing someone through old TV shows? Come on, this ain't PLEASANTVILLE or THE PHANTOM EYE! This is a horror film!

Here goes the plot:

A killer (Mitch Pillegy, of X-Files fame) chases this teenager through his dreams. The killer dies in the electric chair. Then, the killer comes back from the dead and stalks the teenager but noone will believe him. His dead girl friend who the killer killed comes back and helps him. Interesting and well done with the flaw previously said. Not very complex, this film is great to play at parties as is SCREAM.

2 and a half stars this film rates.
