This film created the ghostly deformed ghost slasher used in later horror flicks like FRIDAY THE 13th PART TWO
and other movies. This also was one of the origanal slashers that didn't rip off the king of the slashers: HALLOWEEN. This is Craven's best movie to date and the majority of his were just variations of this dream stalker.
Although nooneelse seems to see it, SCREAM and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET are almost exactly the same.
