Canadian Olympic Fencing Quotations

On the first time Canada has fought for a medal
Sherraine MACKAY (CAN): "We lost the medal but we are satisfied because we achieved the biggest success ever for Canadian women fencing. We tried our best and we are very happy for our performance."

On pride
Julie LEPROHON (CAN): "We did what we could to win a medal. We played as well as possible, we lost, but we are very satisfied. Every opponent in the Olympic Games is trying to win, there is not an easy bout and we are very proud to represent Canadian fencing as ever before."
