BRIDE BALKS AGAIN
SYDNEY, Australia (AP) – Mrs. Josephine Hatton, the homesick GI bride who ran off the transport David C. Shanks just before it sailed for the United States in April, balked again today at a trip to America in the S.S. Monterey, to join her husband. She said the sea terrified her. Four others quit the liner before it sailed for San Francisco with 688 war brides and children from Australia and New Zealand.
