GI Wives in Japan
YOKOSUKA, Japan (AP) – Twenty-two wives and two children of U.S. Marine Corps and Navy men arrived here today from San Pedro, Calif., aboard the transport Charles Carroll. They were the first dependents of occupation force personnel in Japan.

YOKOHAMA (AP) – The First U.S. Army dependents arrived in Japan today – 183 wives, 128 children and one mother – and were given a riotous welcome at the dock.
