also came with 2 maid servants, and 4 manservants
was a clothier
settled in Cambridge MA, where he was admitted as a Freeman 5/17/1637
moved to Concord
d. in Concord 2/6/1678 (7 Feb 1685, according to "Old Families", 1928 Hosmer Genealogy and Adams' book)

***Note: All the Powers family data that I've seen shows Ruth Hosmer's father as Abner Hosmer of Acton. BUT- the only Abner Hosmer in Acton is 16 years her junior- he was her brother! All the Hosmer and Conant genealogies show her father as Jonathan Hosmer, mother as Martha Conant. What probably happened is that she came to be thought of as "related to" or "from the family of" Abner Hosmer after he became infamous for being killed!
