Quirks and habits:

Elizara-Chicago is much like her counterpart, Elizara-NY,  her personality 

and physical traits, a blend of human and Thalaxian.  Her enhanced genes have 

given her the body and mind of a 21-year-old. Despite the weight, she is trim 

and shapely, the antenna adding the additional poundage.  Her increased strength 

and stamina allows her to outperform and outlast most, including Klingons. She 

will not settle  for less than her best in whatever task she takes on. 

Strengths and weaknesses:

Her altered DNA has given her heightened telepathic abilities, but is

careful to keep others thoughts confidential. She has the ability 

learn things extremely fast, including languages, Earth or otherwise. 

Her physical appearance and strength has earned the respect of both her 

peers and superiors everywhere. Fortunately, her diplomatic skills keep

 her out of unnecessary fights and she is known as a peacekeeper. Her 

only weakness is her fastidiousness about her antenna, which is a 

source of pride, bordering on arrogance. 

Talents:

Elizara-Chicago’s primary forte is as a peacemaker. She is also a

 master strategist, usually when playing pool or chess. Like her 

counterpart, Elizara-NY, her capacity for learning is virtually unlimited, 

she has been able to master many skills and languages in a short period of time.

Personal/Career:

Elizara-Chicago was born, Elizabeth A. Reed, in Chicago, IL, as a 

normal human in 1955, born to Mr. and Mrs. Reed and lived with them, u

ntil 1974, when she entered the U.S. Army. After her discharge, in July of 

1999, she returned to Chicago, IL. In June of 2004, while downtown, 

Ms Reed encountered a glowing sphere, behind a dumpster. As she reached 

for it, it disappeared into her right hand. Three days later, a two-foot 

antenna, resembling both the Sears Tower antennas, combined, grew out of 

her head and a number of physiological changes took place. The next night,

 she found out the source of the sphere, left by Thalaxian scouts. These 

changes included all tactile sensation moving from her body to the antenna,

 her age changing to 21, with her aging one Thalaxian year for every one 

thousand Earth years, the antenna, both bleeding and regenerating itself

 when damaged or destroyed and acquiring telepathic abilities. This was

when her name was changed to Elizara-Chicago.

Approximately one year later, Elizara-Chicago entered the Chicago Police Academy,

 graduating at the top of her class. During her years with the Chicago Police force,

Elizara-Chicago won numerous awards and commendations, as well as suffered 

damage and destruction of her antenna on many occasions. After several 

centuries of service, an opportunity came to enter Starfleet academy. 

Elizara-Chicago’s Academy years were spent fully participating, excelling 

in all areas of study and athletics. She was surprised at how well she was 

accepted, despite her unusual appearance, which wasn’t the case when she 

first became a human/Thalaxian half-breed. Others became jealous or hostile 

when she would outclass them in athletic events. 

After graduating, Elizara-Chicago applied for, and was accepted to 

special diplomatic training with the star Fleet Diplomatic Corps. Following 

her training, she served aboard a classified exploration vessel, as a 

Security Officer and Diplomatic Liaison. 

about the thalaxian species:

The Thalaxian race, whose planet, Thalax, has yet to be visited by anyone, have been in existence, for at least one billion standard Earth years. The planet's size is so large, that it's orbit takes one thousand Earth years to complete. This accounts for a Thalaxian aging one year, for every one thousand Earth year.

Thalaxians are a peace-loving species, having never experienced major conflicts among themselves. Their skin is a pale lavender and they have no hair anywhere, because the planet's atmosphere remains at a constant temperature, year-round. They have no sexual organs, therefore they procreate by cloning and "assimilating" other, compatible sentient beings, through Trans-Ideo Mutation, triggered by what's called a Catalytic Sphere, approximately the size of an orange. When this sphere enters a "host" body, usually at a specified moment, whatever object dominating their thoughts, will be formed from the altered, and transferred Thalaxian DNA and the molecules will "graft" this object to the host's head. This, accompanied by physiological changes, completes this process. The host being retains complete free will, usually benefiting from this procedure, because careful study and research is done prior to initiating this. This is the product of advanced intelligence and bio-technology.

They believe in one God who they call "Yawehal" and every Thalaxian worships Him, promoting peace and harmony. They have learned to co-exist and, thus, the entire planet is one "nation", with a single government, elected, solely by the people.

The landmass to water ratio is 70/30 and the cities were designed to blend in with the farmlands, to facilitate ample provision of food. Thalaxians are primarily vegetarians, allowing the animals to roam free, for the enjoyment of everyone. Prisons are unheard of throughout Thalax. There is no military or local police, due to the peaceful nature of the race.

There are only two known assimilated humanoids, both from the planet Earth, both having a two-foot version of antenna system, normally found atop skyscrapers. They were named Elizara-NY and Elizara-Chicago. "Elizara" is the Thalaxian prefix for "Hybrid by Assimilation throught Trans-Ideo Mutation". NY and Chicago are for the cities of origin of both the persons and the antennas. Since their assimilations, both "Elizaras" have benefited phenomenally from this, and thus, those around them benefited, indirectly.
