Family and
History: K'alaa's
entire immediate family wiped out in the ceberous plague of 2359, raised by
M'artoks oldest sister and her clan, trained as a warrior and a Klingon High
Priestess, due to her birth order. Discovered to be a powerful empath by her
aunt, this fact kept secret due to the Klingon tradition of destroying empathic
Klingon infants immediately after birth (this practice put into effect after the
Romulan/Klingon wars of the mid-twenty-second century..empaths and telepaths
were considered dangerous mutants, potentially traitorous and untrustworthy).
Rite of Ascension at 2374, assigned to IKS K'avoK. Rose to position of cha'DicH
in matter of weeks. Lost betrothed in duel 2376. Resigned IKS, entered Star
Fleet Academy same year, graduated at an accelerated rate and head of her class
2378. Ensign k'alaa assigned USS Intrepid, saved ship from destruction by
Cardassians during the skirmishes after the Dominion war, was promoted to
Lieutenant s.g. same year. Assigned indefinitely on partial medical leave to
Starbase 77. Met Captain JM Mudd, who courted and eventually married her.
Assigned to USS Dragonfire, where promoted to Lt.Commander and Commander due to
heroic action, awarded the Federation Silver Star of Honor 2379. After promotion
of Admiral Mudd by Fleet Admiral Traz, promoted to Captain and given command of
the USS Dragonfire.
