Cade Position: Chief Tactical and Security Officer Rank: Lieutnenant Commander Race: Andorian Age: Unknown Gender: Male Place of Birth: Andor Character Appearance: A dwarf by Andorian standards he stands a well muscled but supple 5'5". Standard blue skin, white hair, blue eyes and antennae. Character Personality: Surprisingly easy-going for an Andorian, he "gets" most human humor, although his own delivery of said jokes is still rudimentary at best. In a "crunch" situation he is second to none able to take control physically, emotionally and mentally with grace and efficiency. Surprisingly, he has an immediate and lasting dislike and untrusting attitude toward those who do not value teamwork and family. Character History: Many young Andorians wander from cooperative to cooperative until they reach maturity. Cade, however, wandered for far longer. Shunned and teased by all due to his comparitively diminutive stature he roamed his home planet until he could take no more. As soon as he was able he left his homeworld behind and set out across the galaxy. Travelling for several years (actual time unknown) he encountered many races. He spent at least one year with Klingons who, admiring his strong sense of honour, gave him a complimentary low grade title in their ranks (this almost caused a problem during the Klingon war on Cardassia as the Klingons attempted to draft him. His rank in Starfleet being of a higher grade at the time, he was able to "pull rank" and avoid the conflict). Of all the races Cade has met, he likes humans the most. It was his interest in humanity that led to his joining Starfleet Academy in 2360. Whilst at the academy Cade, unsurprisingly, excelled in all forms of physical training. Refusing to be "typecast" Cade pushed himself and other's expectations by graduating third in his class across the board in 2364. Cade's first assignment as an ensign was security duty on space station Alpha 12 a Federation research facility. There for two years he was promoted to Lieutenant junior grade for his vast contributions and improvements to station security. He moved from there to a security post on board the medical ship USS Nobel. There he remained until his participation in the search for the USS Hera in 2370 earned him a promotion to Lieutenant. Cade continued his career in Security aboard the USS Clement until a botched away mission in 2373 found the leading officer injured and Cade, as the next in the chain of command, responsible for the safe return of the team. His exemplary performance in this situation earned him a promotion to Lieutenant Commander and access to certain command privilages. At this time, due to his knowledge of the Klingon race and his superb record as a security officer, Cade was transfered to the USS Venture to aid in their part in dealing with the Klingon invasion of Cardassia. Cade's part in the resulting engagements and the retaking of DS9 gained the attention of his superiors once again. As such he has was asked as a personal favour to Captain Briggs to join him as his XO aboard the USS Lonestar, Task Force One, in 2377. In 2378, Cade however due to his exemplary service was promoted to Captain of the USS Rhode Island. Though not under any fleet directly, it maintained close ties with Task Force One. In 2379, the Rhode Island was transferred to Defence Force Esprit to help guard the Bajoran wormhole from the Gamma Quadrant end. However, Cade disobeyed a direct order from a Commodore on an Away Mission and faced a serious court martial back on Earth. Stripped to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Cade was facing an uncertain future within Starfleet as not many Captain's were willing to take on someone who had once been stripped of Captain rank themselves for insubordination. However, Captain Rees, having known Cade from their days together in Task Force One, approached Cade and offered him the position as Chief of Security of the USS Vanquish.
