Jasti Lower Deck Character Position: Trainee Security Officer Rank: Cadet Third Year Race: Orion Age: 21 Gender: Female Place of Birth: Orion Character Appearance: Shoulder length red hair, dark green eyes and green-toned skin certainly makes her stand out in a room full of humanoids. She is of average height and has a slight build (she's more likely to pull a martial arts move then try to use bulk to achieve anything). Character Personality: The most prominant feature of her personality is her aversion to speak about her race, or her own past. She fiercely opposes any form of subjectation and even a hint will cause her to have an outburst of anger. She has the self control to not let this slip into violence. Jasti tends to keep everyone at arms length and does not make friends quickly, but can make lifelong friends through mutual respect. Character History: Outwardly it seems that the Orion people have moved on from their sorid past of systematic and cultural degredation of females, but there are still strong undercurrents that make it difficult for women to hold positions of authority. This is why Jasti left and defected to the Federation. She left behind a life of domestic servitude and child raring to be the first Orion female in Starfleet, chosing Security as her field of expertise. She does not speak much about her past and is reluctant to share this with anyone, prefering instead to live as if her life started when passing over the borders. Jasti is very capable and intelligent, but her temper and sometimes abrasive attitude will need to be curbed if she is to become a successful officer.
