Character History: |
Madelle was born in a small town not far from the Trill Symbiosis Commission buildings. From an early age, Madelle showed signs of being happier around technology than she was with people. She was a slow student in her early years, and so her parents hired a personal tutor for the young girl. It was their furvent wish that she gain the grades and attitude required to become a host.
This isolated upbringing had the reverse effect however. Whilst she did excell in the technical sciences, she became more and more introverted, and when she finally went to train at the Symbiosis Commision, she was rejected after her second year. The board felt she did not have the personality required for a host. This was absolutely fine with Madelle, who had no wish to be joined in any case.
In her one show of independance, she joined Starfleet against her parents wishes. While gaining high commendations from her Engineering and Computer Science tutors, she barely scraped through the acadamy. Posted to the USS Avatar, a science vessle on a year long mission to study gaseous clouds, she spent a quiet happy year and a half working deep within the computer core.
Although she went through her time on the Avatar mostly unnoticed, her immediate superior mentioned her great expertise with the computers to his
chief of engineering, who made a few investigations of his own, and recomended her for a transfer to a more prestegious ship. She was transfered to the Vanquish a week before her departure from spacedock, and settled into her quiet routine once again.
