In
December 1978, astrologers opinions were sought by the
Renovation Committee of the temple before the work was
commenced. During that occasion, they predicted about
the existence of significant spot near the temple, where
divine “yagas” (yagnas) were observed by ancient
saints. The point where they spotted out was a barren
area, filled with hard earth. When the gravel and hard
soil was unearthed to a depth of 2 feet in the spot,
situating 50 meters north of the “Swayambhoo”, the
remnants of dug in hard rock cutting stones with 20” x
20” x 2” measurement, a divine spot with covering proof
of conducting “yagas” by saints and monks was revealed.
12 pits in 2” x 2” x1” measures dug by cutting hard rock
and water channels with equal dimensions on all the
sides were manifested in this sort. The archeological
surveyors who visited this place have ascertained that
his is undoubtedly a spot where "yagas" were conducted
during ancient period. Now the spot is preserved by the
temple authorities as a invaluable monuments of "yagas". |
