The 2000 year saw the Rebels play in all four 3-on-3 seasons for the
first time in the team's history.
The Winter season began with a few suprises:
NO preseason games, four full teams and extra players to add to each
team's roster. Meanwhile, the Champion Rebels would show signs of
struggle through the season.
The Spring season featured two Rebels' teams
in 3-on-3 play: Rebels B Shooters and Rebels Teal. With
two teams in the mix of six teams, the Rebels doubled their chances
to bring home another championship as both squads played in the
trophy game.
The Summer season was brutal to the Rebels
as the team had lost its goaltender to knee surgery. The league
provided a goaltender-by-committee approach to the Rebels' problem.
It is hard to defend a title when you cannot keep the puck out of the
net.
The Fall season continued the Rebels' woes
in net as well as the HTHL's Womens Division collapsing back to three
teams. However, a new emerging power house, the Hot Biscuits,
was making its presence known.
