2nd Annual
Pacific Northwest Women's
Invitational Hockey Tournament
May 26-28, 2000 are the dates for an Adult Women’s Recreational
Hockey Tournament planned to be played at the Canlan Ice Sports
North Shore
ice rink in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This tournament includes:
- Each team is guaranteed four games
- Finals will be tiered
- 60 minute game time slot
- 75 minute playoff/final game time slot
- Two person referee system
- Post game beverages
The rules for this tournament are:
- Round robin format
- No touch icing
- A mercy rule will be in place when one team goes ahead
by 5 goals; the clock will run straight time
- Any Major or Fighting penalty will result an automatic
suspension from the tournament - no exceptions
Tournament Update:
It looks like the tournament has now gone officially to 28 teams,
and not only inter-provincial with teams from British Columbia, but
also international with multiple teams, besides the Rebels, coming
from the United States.

The Rebels are making their second trip to Vancouver and to the Pacific
Northwest Women's Invitational Hockey Tournament. We had a lot of
fun at the inaugural tournament in 1999 as this was the Rebels'
first "international" tournament in its team history.
