When the San Jose Valenti Rebels are not battling it out
for the puck along the boards during league ice hockey games,
you can find us on the road travelling to tournaments around
North America.

2003
The Rebels travelled to
Airdrie, Alberta, Canada,
for the fourth consecutive year to play in the 6th Annual Ladies
Recreational Hockey Tournament. The Rebels returned home with a
seventh place overall tournament finish.
2002
The Rebels did not go to Las Vegas in February this year but
our neighbors in the East Bay, the Oakland Seals A team, continued
their winnings ways by becoming the Intermediate - 1 Division
Champions on their return trip to the "Gambler's City".
The Rebels travelled to
Airdrie, Alberta, Canada,
for the third consecutive year to play in the 5th Annual Ladies
Recreational Hockey Tournament. The Rebels returned home with their
first A Division - B Runnerup award and a fourth place overall
tournament finish.
Meanwhile, the San Jose, CA-based Spitfire joined the Rebels in
game play at the April Airdrie tournament as the second ever U.S. team
to play in the Canadian Invitational tournament.
2001
The Rebels played as a more experienced travelling tournament team
in 2001 as we returned to
Las Vegas
for the third time to win a division championship this year. We
were not alone as the Bay Area's own Oakland Seals A
and Oakland Seals B teams won their division
championships as well. The Bay Area is a hockey hot bed for local
womens hockey!
We also returned to
Airdrie,
Canada to defend and win another tournament trophy.
Meanwhile, our first-time trip to
Phoenix
during the May Memorial Day weekend had the team progress up
one level in tournament play. The evenly matched division also had
the Oakland Seals who returned home with the division's
championship. Congratulations to the Oakland Seals!
The Rebels travelled to Tucson
for a mid-November womens hockey tournament hosted by the
Tucson Chilly Peppers and played at the Gateway Ice Center.
No trophy but the Rebels did not return home empty handed: the third
place medals will look just as good in the trophy case.
Rebels Spit Fire, a combination of players between the Rebels
and the Spitfire, travelled up the peninsula to
Redwood City
for the Tournament Trophy "Holiday Cup" Women's Tournament on
the December 28-30 weekend. No trophy but a lot of fun was had with
our new friends and team mates.
