10 minutes and 15km north of Calgary is the small city of
Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, with a population
of about 20,000 people. The
Airdrie Nutty Housewife League (NHL) womens
ice hockey team makes this fine city home.
April 5-7, 2002 are the confirmed dates for the Airdrie
Nutty Housewife League Tournament planned to be played at
the Twin Arenas in Airdrie. Saturday night post game
activities will feature a dinner and entertainment.
Tournament Update:
It looks like the tournament has now gone officially to 12 teams,
and not only inter-provincial with teams from as Alberta, British
Columbia and Saskatchewan, but also international with two teams
coming from the United States.
The returning Rebels and the hosting Airdrie Nutty Housewife League
are two of the twelve sign teams for this tournament. Here is the
