EPILOGUE
Gabby grew quickly and made our every day happy. For a while I was happy, watching my child grow. Throwing her first birthday party was wonderful. Jacob and I had become friends with people from the elementary school he taught at and Gabby had plenty of little friends.
Oh, how happy we were. But even happiness has a way of turning into despair. I feared every day that something, it didn't matter what, would shatter my newfound happiness. There was no way I could stay happy. I was never meant to be happy.
Jacob told me every day that I worried too much about it. I just told him that he should be more cautious and cherish the wonderful bliss his life was giving him now. It was bound to become unhappy at some point in time. I was cursed to be miserable. That was something he really didn't believe. Maybe it was good that he was so much more optimistic than I was.
I still believe that someday something is going to come crashing down on my happiness. But it isn't a fear I let run my life. I live every day to its fullest, playing with Gabby and just loving her and Jacob. They make my life completely worth living and I wouldn't change it for the world.
So I end my story here for now. But there is more to it than this. I know that my story truly doesn't end here. There is so much more that needs to be told.
