*****NOTE*****
1.Very(x3) strong (no element) weapons are
the same cost
as Very(x1) strong (+elem) weapons
2.If u provide materials, there will be a charge for success forges as follows
Level 1:50k
Level 2:150k
Level 3:300k
No charge for failed forge if you provide items
*Note: For Lv3 fists, charge is 150k instead
of 300k*
3.Different
element weapons actually will be different in price due to the ores, these
are estimated prices so price might be adjusted (usually I dun) up or down
due to price of elemental ores

FAQs(Frequently Asked/Answered
Questions)(Until I sianzz)
Some things to know
before starting the questions
I have split the answers to the questions in 2 parts, 1 short and 1 in
detail so as to accommodate people who have no time to read the long ones
or just don't bother to.
Some things you outta know
Difference between Refine, Forge, Upgrade
(Very often used wrongly)
Refine means
converting unpure items into pure items like in the case of iron ore to
iron
Forge means
creating weapon out from irons/steels/oridecons
Upgrade means
adding pharcon/emveratacon/oridecons/eluniums to your weapon and/or armour.
Lastly, FairPrice don't mean CheapPrice... since when does fair means
cheap? LOL
Why
is job level 50 more important than base level 99 for forging?
In short:
The higher overall level the better
just that job 50 is more significant than base level 99.
In detail: Statistically
each job level adds 0.2% success rate while each dex=luck=0.1%
success rate and each base level up in general can increase 2 of either
luck/dex or 1 each which is about 0.2% increase per base level. While you
are getting your job level to 50, you will be increasing both base level
and job level at the same time so each level actually adds 0.4(Base +
Job)% success rate which is significant whereas while u are already job 50
and getting your base level to 99(from maybe around base level 80),
each level up only adds 0.2% which, compared to the time needed at level
80+ to 90+ to raise a level...(U know how long it takes even for those who
bots) the 0.2% isnt actually worth the time... unless u bot or everyday
shake leg at home la in that case u r a winner.
How
strong is a very strong or very very strong weapon? Is it worth it?
In short:
Use normal elemental ones unless you
are rich
In detail:
Each very strong adds 5 damage(YAY!
Impressive!) to your attacks so a very very strong weapon adds 10
damage(YAY! Even MORE Impressive!) to your attack. Even a lot more
impressive is that you will deal the 5 or 10 damage even if you MISS the
monster! Sounds good right? How about let's take a look at this case....
Say you are fighting an alarm (Alarm has 10647 hit points) in the clock
tower and oh... u missed hitting the alarm but wait, your weapon is VERY
VERY strong so you deal 10 damage to the alarm... WOW! 10 damage versus
10k hitpoints... if you want to rely on your 10 damage to kill the
alarm... u had better be able to survive very long!!! Think you can
understand why very very strong is not so impressive now. But wait...
low level weapons for low level chars are actually worth it. Let's say,
you are using a very very strong blade versus a rocker (Rocker has 198 hit
points) and you missed! Oh wait you deal 10 damage even if you miss the
rocker. That's good, 10 hitpoint is pretty big chunk of the rocker's
hitpoints.
Since
very strong weapons is so lousy, then how come does it cost so much more
than a normal one?!
In short:
It's A LOT harder to forge strong
weapons
In detail:
Each very strong(star crumb) you
want to add to a weapon will decrease forge chance by a whopping 15%! So a
very very strong has a penalty of -30% forge chance! Forging already has
miserable chance to start with and now with this penalty... you are going
to break A LOT and when you are forging those 16 oris/100 steels per forge
attempt weapons, and when it breaks, it will be your heart that breaks!
Hey he's selling cheaper
than you!(FairPrice isnt that fair price!!!)
In short:
Buy from him
In detail:
Of course I will buy his also if I am you
since it's cheaper. So why is my item so expensive? Firstly, I don't bot
and you must understand some things:
1.He might have botted the items (Botters
sell cheap since his source is free and he want to get rid fast!)
2.It's a resale (He don't want already so selling it off at a loss)
3.He is stupid (He don't know maths...)
In fact, I don't anyhow name pricings one. My prices are base on material
cost based on current market. I would like to phrase it this way... he is
selling very cheap whereas I am selling the normal price. Sounds much more
right :)
Can
you paste/add/mix/stick my roughwind/flameheart/mysticfrozen/greatnature
to my sword?
Ok... after trying to "paste"
your Mystic Frozen to your sword...

You don't simply paste the ore to the
weapon!!! Let's take baking a cake for example. You add sugar to the flour
before you bake it right? Don't tell me you paste the sugar to the cake
after the cake is baked.....
Can
you paste/add/mix/stick my star crumb
to my sword?
You have read the previous pasting question so this one I would like to put the
question in a different way..... Say, I want a very very black chocolate
cake... by pasting?? Let' see...

So now... I hope you understand that you cant
'spray' your star crumb to your sword... Inside will still be a weak
sword!
Er no... I don't really like to eat
cakes but I think it's the best way to explain
Why
is a forged elemental weapon so expensive?
In short: You
don't modify weapons bought from NPCs, you make them from big amount of
iron, steel, oridecons which don't come cheaply.
In detail: If
you can give me a cake by pasting sugar to flour, then I sell you cheap...
hey I am serious... send me a screenshot man. I'll be interested to look
at the so called 'Cake'.
Com'on.... if you can get a cake by pasting the sugar to the flour, a lot
of cake shop will close down liao... I go open cake shop myself liao,
muhahah. Anyway, as mentioned in
the short answer, elemental weapons are constructed from A LOT of
irons, steel, oridecons and you know their prices... Besides, forge
attempts are not 100% success thing ESPECIALLY those requests from people
who like to add FIVE MORE damage
(Wah geng! (strong!!) POWER!!!) to their weapons.
Why
is your success rate so low?!!!
In short: Go
to other forgers who tell you they have 90% success chance... and get the
taste of being conned /gg
In detail: So
low? Hmm how about I tell you I that I have 99% chance of forging the
weapon and then keep breaking your 100 steels then I say "Wow! you
today so lucky 1% chance also kena, better quickly go buy ToTo and 4 Digit
confirm strike sia" *Strike
liao remember to give me treat for giving you 'inspiration thanks...*
Ok nonsense off, I believe in
stats based on proven grounds and information base on webpage and forums
on forging on the internet. The % is not anyhow generated one. I guess a
lot of people can't accept reality...
He
tell me forge 2 tries confirm 100% sucess!
In short: Similar
to the above question, go get him forge... I be /gging behind
In detail: Hey
u know what? GM is my mother and RO creator is my father! Not only that!!!
Gravity is my grandfather's company!!! Com'on, anyone can say anything. I
can also say I forge 1 time success... but how many times do that happen?
I always take my worse and best and average it out. That is the more fair
way of giving verdict rather than always giving your best score only.
Believe in % and not on statements like 1 try can success or 10 tries will
still fail.
Why
do I use the Japanese
calculator to calculate my chances rather than the English
Forge caculator
In short: Jap
is the correct one. Read below for why
In detail: To
prove which is the accurate one, there is 1 easy way to test, through
refining Enchanted Stones (Yellow Live, Crystal Blue, Bloody Red, Wind of
Vedure) . The English one has the same success chance as Steel whereas the
Japanese one is quite heavily penalized, about 20% chance lesser than
Steel. So to test, make about say 10 steels vs 10 Enchanted Stones and see
the results. I am sure you will agree with me that indeed Enchanted stone
is not as good as steel and therefore the Jap Forge Calculator is the
correct one.
How
do I determine my pricings for the elemental weapons?
In short: Base
on material cost X a multiplier
In detail: It's
hard to determine a market price in general as the demand for elemental
weapons is inconsistent so the most reliable method is to use the material
cost needed to forge the weapon multiplied by a multiplier (Base on
success chances)
Forger Questions
Below are questions more for forgers. Feel
free to see if you are interested

The
Big question. What does Oridecon Research do?
In short:
There is NO
PROVEN info, record, fact, theory on
what it does.
In detail: Here
are infos from more reliable sources I have gathered summarized.
Books/Guides all says that it INCREASES
your chance to forge level 3 weapons that uses Oris (Means Morning Star,
Swordmaces and Stunners are out) they never say by how much. RO Empire
forum (quite popular) has a blacksmith guy (He's quite popular there) who
tried experimenting with max level 5 Oridecon Research and without it
totally and his results shows that it DOESN'T
help at all in forging level 3 weapons. Korean forums has their
blacksmiths suggesting that it ADDS 1% PER
LEVEL??? to level 3 forges that uses
Oridecons.
So it seems that there is NO STRONG PROVE
that it does anything or nothing. I basically has 2 comments.
First is on the
Korean blacksmith's suggestion. Don't you think Oridecon Research is very
inferior when compared to Weapon Research if what the Korean BS says is
true? Why? Because Weapon Research ADDS 1% to ALL weapons of ALL levels.
Besides it also adds 2 Hit and 2 Att per level. Oridecon Research looks so
tiny compared to it. It doesn't make sense making an inferior skill for
you to choose right? Can't remember any inferior skill of the same type in
the game.
Secondly
anything can happen on something base on chances. To Prove this is very
easy. Look at the Right of this page there is the Forge
Generator. Try it over say 50 times to forge
a very strong level 3 weapon and a very very strong level 3 weapon. There
might be a few times a very strong level 3 weapon takes more attempts to
forge out one than the very very strong one. Does this means very strong
is easier to forge than very very strong? NO!
So as I have summarized in short above, There
is NO PROVEN
info, record, fact, theory on what it does.
The only thing proven is that with 1 level of the Oridecon Research Skill,
you can use any hammer (Iron, Golden or Oridecon) for any level weapon you
want to forge.
What
skills do you suggest a Pure Forger to take?
In short: Don't
be lazy! Read the long explanation!
In detail: If
you are a PURE forger, I would recommend maxing all 7 forgeable weapons (21
Skill used),
Weapon Research (10 skill used)
and maxing 3 out of 4 (18 remaining
skill point to distribute) of the following:
Iron
Steel
Enchanted Stone
Oridecon Research
Steel is most probably a confirmed choice. So it's basically a fight
between
Iron
(Pretty Cheap and Pure Forger has about 70%+ refine chances at high level
with just level 1 Iron)
Enchanted Stone
(Combining chances is low even at maxed level so pretty wasteful. Might be
good idea to buy combined ones)
Oridecon Research (Don't even know
if it does anything. Minus the fact that 1 level in it enables you to use
any hammer to forge any level weapons)
YOU DECIDE.
