Last December while searching Starmatch.com for a suitable prospect for
a
co-worker, I stumbled across an ad for the man that I am going to
marry! I
wasn't actively looking, but when I saw his ad it reminded me of the
one I
had put on for myself about the year before. That's what struck me --
that
we were like two peas in the same pod! The fact that he lived in
Southern
California didn't phase me because I figured he'd never write me back.
I
figured he probably had a girlfriend or was now married, or whatever.
Well, two days after sending him a brief e-mail with a note telling him
if
he was interested to see my ad that was still on Starmatch, I received
a
message back from him. And that was the start of our relationship!
We
have
come to believe we are two peas in the same pod and now I am moving to
Riverside, California at the end of October to be with him.
Both of us have been divorced for at least 3.5 years and neither has
kids,
so that much better! We have shared things with each other that had
never
been shared with anyone else - we let down our defenses and not only
did we
fall in love, but we are each other's best friends. And we both had
truly
thought that we were not likely to find that special someone in our
lifetimes. Surprise!!!!! And what a wonderful surprise to us both.
So with not one smidgin of a doubt, I'm moving there to be with my
sweetie,
and am looking very much forward to spending my life with him. And
YES, we
have "met" in real life. Since this past February I have been out there

times and he has been here twice. Actually I just returned from
Southern
Ca this past Sunday evening. Hey, I'm stacking up on those Frequent
Flyer
Miles!
We realize and embrace the fact that neither of us are perfect
and
take our imperfections, faults, bad habits and all, with stride. We're
helping each other to become better people - for each other!
Don't let anyone tell you that this medium does not work - it's just
like
meeting any other way, only you spend alot more time getting to know
each
other than in traditional ways, and the physicality of it doesn't get
in the
way.
