I have searched so hard these last few years of my life,
To find the right woman to make my wife.
One who will accept all the love I have to give,
And that I will love her truly as long as I live.
I long for one who's love for me,
She cannot help but let it always be,
Within her heart, in her mind, and her actions too,
Showing me everyday that her love is true.
One I can trust with my deepest thought or dream,
And she will listen when I just need to blow off some steam.
A woman I'll find someday soon I hope,
Before I'm at the end of my rope.
I have searched near and far and across the sea,
Trying to find the one who is meant for me.
I've looked close to home and far away,
To find the girl who will always stay.
The one who will run to me, cling and never let go,
Only wanting me to see all the love she has to show.
Shower me with kisses, love and affection,
To me pledging her love and dedication
Maybe she is still out there somewhere,
Wishing her knight to soon be there.
Maybe I've missed her by some twist of fate,
But I search onward hoping it isn't too late.
I have thought that I'd found it in the past,
only to see that it would not last.
I've watched others let go their true dream,
To settle for less, or so it would seem.
I guess I've not learned how to settle for less,
Wanting all of my dreams and visions of love to possess.
Wanting one who will love only me,
And that every one will be able to see,
A love so strong it outshines the moon or sun,
Hearts joined together not to be undone.
Complete trust and understanding, loyalty too,
If only that this dream would come true.
I guess maybe I've set a dream in motion,
Sometimes feeling like a ship lost out on the ocean.
Searching for a heart to save mine somewhere in the night,
A heart true, warm, and willing to take me into the light,
Of love unbounded by any doubts or fears,
Knowing there need never be any more tears.
To give my heart, my very soul too,
A love that touches her through and through.
To be the very best thing in her life!
The very best in every way possible as husband to wife.
To be the one of whom she dreams at night,
The face upon which she looks in her secret delight.
I may not know what love is meant to be,
All I know is what it means to me,
To give oneself, unselfishly, completely, and true,
To remain ever faithful and give honesty too.
To always be able to depend on each other,
Relying for all things from one another.
Trust and confidence in each other's emotion,
Knowing to each the other is filled with devotion.
Forgiveness comes easy when trust has been won,
And of secrets between us, there would be none.
Joined together in mind, body, and soul,
Without each other we could not be whole.
And though I know this dream of love may never come true,
I still keep on searching, could my love be you?
Maybe someday soon she will find me,
A dream can come true, if you believe you will see,
A love never ending, unconditionally true,
Everlasting love that always feels like it's new.
Every day a new beginning, but never an end,
Love for me will be that way, once my search reaches it's end.
For only when I find her, or she finds me,
Will my journey be over, and at last I'll be free.
Free of wondering if love will ever be mine,
And being with her for the rest of all time.
