I have been seeing Sean for 6 month via the internet and am currently on a countdown to our first meeting (43 days). I am a professor of Psychology at a university in Indiana and he is a Social worker in Alaska. The distance is a definate issue.
We met on a internet game called Ultima Online. His character was a member of an evil guild called ToM and my character was a member of a goodie goodie guild called BoD. We met at a roleplay event .. the wedding of a bard in Yew ( a town in the game). Initially our conversation was about game politics and all in character events. I didn't realize it but that night Sean realized he was interested in me .. at least my character and after the event finished we spoke a bit more and then I mentioned I might run into him again and left. Sean didnt let the opportunity go by, and asked everyone he knew in game if
they knew who I was.. and eventually found one who had my icq number..
As time passed we grew closer. To woo me, Sean wrote me stories
documenting different events that we both interacted in within the game. See, I wasn't on the internet to look for romance, for that matter, neither was Sean. It all just kinda happened. But the day we realized how deeply both of us had fallen, we knew that we had to make plans to transfer our feelings from the internet to real life. Thus, we began the phone calls. I was skeptical at first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but after conversing with him on the phone it only made me fall deeper
for him. Now he has become an integral part of my life. In March we plan to meet simply to confirm our feelings and then in June, I will fly again to Alaska to help him pack and bring him back to Indiana with me.
