If someone told you that you would fall in love with someone who you have never met, would you think that person was crazy? Yeah, me too. At least until it happened to me.
Jay and I met in a chatroom on MSN. He was a lot of fun to talk to, and we began setting times to meet online. After awhile, we began calling each other. We would spend hours on the phone and the computer. I knew I was falling for him, and hated myself for it. He lived in Oklahoma and I lived in New York. He had joined the military and was leaving for bootcamp in a few months. It just couldn't work. Or could it?
We decided to meet in August for what was supposed to be a week. I flew out to Oklahoma. It was when I got on the plane that I just had to stop and laugh. What was I doing? But it was too late to change my mind...........the plane took off.
Needless to say, we had a great time together. My one-week visit ended with Jay coming back to NY with me and not leaving until he absolutely had to go to bootcamp. With many letters in the mail to each other, we endured the time apart. We spent four months together in Georgia before Jay got stationed in South Korea for a year.
After a whole year of heartache, Jay came back home. We are married, living in Washington and have a beautiful baby boy named Zachary. So yes, cyber love is real and can turn into the greatest fairy tale of all!
