Registration All vehicles must be registered for road use to participate in club events. This registration can be either Full registration or Concessional registration at a reduced fee.

The purpose of Concessional registration is to provide registration and compulsory insurance for heritage motor vehicles, used on a limited basis by their owners as a recreation or hobby. In granting registration at a concessional rate, certain guidelines must be observed.

The following is a summary of the main provisions of Concessional registration as they relate to this club:

      • Concessional registration is only available to financial members of the club,
      • The actual vehicle must be either a Veteran or Vintage vehicle and the owner must supply reasonable documentary evidence to enable verification of the age,
      • The vehicle must be inspected each year for registration by the club appointed inspector
      • Use of the vehicle is restricted to club events, test runs, maintenance and special occasions
      • A log book must be kept with the vehicle and all outings must be recorded in it
      • When attending other club events, the club Registrar must be notified before the event
Club events are defined as;
      • The normal monthly run of the club
      • Any run with another club to which this club is specifically invited
      Interstate runs or rallies organised by other State branches of the Veteran Car Club of Australia and clubs affiliated with relevant State Motor Club Councils.

      The foregoing points cover the major provisions under which we are granted concessional registration. If you have any further queries consult either the Club Registrar or Motor Vehicle Registry at Dickson.
