The Veteran Car Club of Australia
The Veteran Car Club of Australia is a Federal body formed
to unite all State Veteran Car clubs. A federal conference is held each
year to elect officers and decide National activities. State clubs have
complete autonomy to direct their own activities, finances and organisation.
The Veteran and Vintage Car Club of the A.C.T.
The Australian Capital Territory branch was formed in June
1963 by 13 enthusiasts, who had only one veteran car on the road between
them. The club grew steadily and in recent years it was realised their
was a need to also cater for enthusiasts of vehicles of the Vintage era.
The club now boasts over 50 restored veteran and vintage vehicles, with
many more awaiting restoration. Annual membership usually totals around
the 40-50 mark.
The Club is unique in the Canberra area in that it is not aligned to
a specific marque and it is the only club that caters exclusively for those
people interested in Veteran and Vintage vehicles.
