Victory Weyr
Brownrider Q'win
Name: Q'win
Age: 30 turns
Sex/Preference: Male/Straight
Rank/Title/Position: Brown Rider
Main Location: Victory Weyr

Physical Description: A very large man in all respects. Stands 6' 11". Shoulders broad, very muscular with large hands and a wide arm span. His eyes are a rich blue, almost as dark during times of anger as the night sky but they tend to sparkle and develop light rings of blue around the iris when he is happy. He wears dark brown clothing and dislikes color on himself. His hair is medium brown. Q'win's face is rugged with a large nose that looks as if it has been broken many times being the most distingishing feature. His mouth is wide with thin lips. Most often it looks as if he disapproves of everything around him. His craggy brows have a way of bunching making him appear to be scowling in anger. When Q'win walks he looks like a stalking beast, determined, centered and not to be messed with. His voice is loud and booming and does not seem to have a volume control so when he whispers he is heard across a clearing.

Emotional Description: This man is the gentlest of men. Inside him beats a heart that will give and give and give. But his very appearance belies that gentle nature and most fear him. That fear others have of him has caused him to be without real friends and made a mark upon him emotionally. Q'win constantly fears hurting another person because of his size and strenght. He is unsure of himself in relationships, but that does not mean he won't pursue a relationship with relentlessness. Sometimes that very relentless nature frightens people off. Although he appears to be sure of himself when dealing with others, inside Q'win questions everything and believes that others do not want to have him around.

Brief History: Raised as a herder Q'win had the responsibility of taking care of his mother thrown on him when his father was killed by Thread while trying to bring in a runner that had strayed during Fall. Seeing his father's body destroyed by Thread did something to the barely 10 turns youth. He developed a deep hatred for Thread and a fear for the safety of his mother and the herd he was charged with keeping safe. Growing up almost without supervision herding isolated runners Q'win did not develop social skills. He didn't learn to control the volume of his speech. He didn't learn what not to say or what was acceptable behavior. When he was 20 turns a dragon dropped from the sky and scared off Q'win's herd. He roared at the rider in anger, but the rider only smiled at the young man and told him his dragon like the way Qwinton smelled. Just like that Qwinton was searched. His rough ways, the loud voice and his tendence to try and order others around in an attempt to keep them safe did not set well with others at the southern weyr where he stood for a clutch and was accepted by a brown dragon. Transfered from weyr to weyr as his roughness wore on each Weyrleader Q'win has finally landed at Victory Weyr.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaknesses: Physically very strong. Mentally alert and quick to take in situations. Not very articulate. Extremely trustworthy. Slow to give his loyalty due to being transfered around so much. Works hard. Can be single minded when he wants something.

Dragonriders/Weyrlings
Dragon name: Harmoth
Dragon color: Brown
Age: 10 turns
Fighting Wing: (You will be assigned)
Adult Size: medium-large

Description: The darkest of browns possible for a dragon. He looks like a shadow in the sky. His belly is lighter almost a tan in color. Hamoth is distinguished by a roundish swirl of tan on each wing. From above these look like eyes, very large eyes on a very large moth.

Personality: Easy going and lazy until it comes time to fight Thread. Then, perhaps sensing Q'win's hatred of Thread, the dragon becomes a swift and avenging flame in the sky. Now that Thread is not falling the pair are left with a hole in their reason for being.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Tends to over eat and would become fat if not for Q'win giving him regular exercise.
