Joel
Phil
Joel Dawson: He's either a genious inventor, or a retarded moron. Or both. Joel lives in Charismaville, NJ with his friend Phil, and is constantly being chased after by his neighbor, Elly Strife. Joel's been in tough spots before, seeing as how he's died countless times. He's been to Hell, E3, as well as Evil's MMORPG. Currently he resides in space, travelling the galaxy in his ship, the "eShip." He is currently dating Phil's mom, Jessica, and was formerly dating June, the trophy cyborg girlfriend he made. Either way, Joel has the ladies swooning for him, even Elly, who he constantly tries to ignore. But is there more to Joel than this?
Phil Argus: Constantly being annoyed by the antics of his friend and roomate, Joel Dawson, and chasing after the love of his life, Elly Strife, Phil's life is one disaster after the next. Although he is a Catholic, he somehow made friends with Satan. They even go bowling every Thursday...or so he claims. His main adversary is Rya, the cynical cyborg chick that Joel built that does nothing but criticize his every comment, belittling him at any chance she gets. In his spare time, Phil is a super hero, having gotten his super powers after Joel splashed him with a mysterious liquid (Joel claims it was Apple Juice). His super powers involve his laser fingers and laser eye beams.
Rya: Joel's second attempt at creating a trophy girlfriend, things didn't go as planned with Rya. She's cynical, sarcastic, and, until very recently, was very anti-social. Rya wasn't as quick witted as Joel, which led to her involvement with Craig, one of Joel's slow talking neighbors. They ended up getting married and had a baby, Rygar. However, shortly after, Craig and Rya divorced, leaving Rya temporarily insane. She soon reverted back to her former self. However, Evil, Bonus Stage's former villain, touched upon this sore spot, which angered Rya, leading to a confrontation. This confrontation did not last, as he shut Rya down. She was rebooted later by Joel, but became less anti-social, but is still very sarcastic and cynical.
Elly Strife: Just the girl next door. Elly is the girl that Phil has a crush on. Still, she blows him off at every chance she gets, seeing as how she's fixated on his roomate, Joel. However, time and time again, Elly's been shut out from Joel's love life. First there was June, Joel's first girlfriend, and now Jessica. There just seems to be no more room for poor Elly. Elly is also a tech freak, with a lot, and I mean a lot of her computers in her house. Wonder what she does with them? Add more and more comments to her blog maybe? Only Elly knows for sure...unless Phil has camera's planted in her house.
Jessica Argus: Phil's Mom and Joel's Girlfriend. Probably a little awkward, when you think about it. She looks 25, but she isn't. She's probably like 50. The origin of her youthful looks were mysterious until a flashback episode. According to Phil, she was extremely religious and overbearing. While he and Joel were out finding the last of the 7 World Gems, she decided to pay a visit, worried about her son's friendship with Satan. While there, she encountered Evil who had broken into Phil's house in an attempt to steal Joel's technology. Curious, Evil activated the "Sitcom Reactor" which reduced everyone's age drastically. All except for himself, of course, since he was in the room, and Joel and Phil because they were out of town. Although Joel was able to reverse the reactor's effects, Jessica was unaffected, having been in the room at the time. So, there you go. From overbearing religious maniac to generic hippie. She doesn't really do much, though. Just plays video games. She especially loves Sega Genesis.
June Crane: Joel's original trophy cyborg girlfriend, June is a very minor character in the show. So minor, many people often mistake her as an inanimate object. Rumor has it she spends most of her time directing Bonus Stage, which explains why very little is seen of her.
Evil: Not much is really known about Evil, though it is speculated that he's made of death. His cloak is made of pure Evil force, or so he claims. For some reason, he considers himself Joel and Phil's main adversary. He has access to some magic powers, though the origin is unknown. He appears to be knowledgable in computer programming, seeing as how he was able to program a crappy, but playable MMORPG. However, Evil's dark exterior is just a front for his true identity. I COULD tell you who Evil really is, but I'd rather not. The clues are out there, everywhere.
