Violinist Rimma Kaminkovsky's earliest studies were in Odessa, former
U.S.S.R and later in Warsaw, Poland. Upon immigration to Israel in 1969
she continued her studies in Tel Aviv, and subsequently with Prof. Shmuel
Ashkenazi in U.S.A. She taught at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem
and was assistant concert master in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra.
In recent years she has made solo appearances with the J.S.O. and with
the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra of which she is a member.
He began his studies in Romania with Edith Broch, and later
graduated from the Cluj Academy of Music. After coming to Israel in 1977
he continued to study under Prof. Rami Shevelov at the Tel Aviv Rubin
Music Academy. A year later he became a member of the IPO with whom he has
since made a number of solo appearances. He has also appeared with various
chamber groups in Israel, the US, Canada and Japan, and in radio
broadcasts as violinist and violist.
Yoram Alperin commenced his studies of the cello at age seven in his native Romania. In 1960 he came to Israel and became a student of Prof. Uzi Wiezel. While a student at the Tel Aviv Rubin Academy of Music, he was a repeat first prize winner of Sharett Fund of the American Israel Culture Foundation. He joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1971. He has made solo appearances with IPO and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Founded The Dafna String Quartet in 2000.
