The Jerusalem String Trio

Since its foundation in 1977, The Jerusalem String Trio has received wide recognition as a vital factor in the Israel Music Scene. The ensemble appears regularly throughout Israel and has been heard in numerous live and recorded performances for Israel Broadcast Authority.

In 1981 the trio made an extremely successful debut, in concerts and broadcasts in several European countries. Since then they have visited many European countries, appearing in concerts at Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw, Salzburg Festival, Bergen International Chamber Music Festival, Festival Cervantino - Mexico, and South America. In 1994 they made their first tour to Japan. In 1996 the trio participated in the first Forbidden City International Music Festival in Beijing. In 1999 The Jerusalem String Trio had their first tour in United States.

The Jerusalem String Trio recorded for various broadcasting corporations, including the BBC. In addition, the trio has recorded CD's for the English "Meridian" company, the Dutch "Channel Classics Studio"company, and the Israeli "CDI" company.

The Jerusalem String Trio performed with such wonderful artists as: Radu Lupu, Yefim Bronfman, Emanuel Ax, Ralf Gothoni, Haan De Vries, Simon Dent, Abbie De Quant, Daniel Adni and Pnina Salzman.

All three artists are members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, performed as soloists with the major Israel orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and are greatly involved in chamber music activities in Israel and abroad.
