Dear Friends of KACPAW A Personal Appeal... I would very much like to call this a sort of a personal appeal from me to all of you, rather than a newsletter per se, and this is the most difficult thing I have done on behalf of KACPAW. I do this as I feel that the future of KACPAW, especially our brand-new shelter, depends on your continued and most Pups at the new shelter importantly regular support. I feel humbled by the way you all have been helping KACPAW by giving generously and so silently. You have placed so much trust in KACPAW's work. And I believe this is partly due to KACPAW's achievements in a short period of two years and partly due to the scrupulously clean accounting of our Treasurer. She is doing a wonderful job, acknowledging every donation/contribution KACPAW receives on top of maintaining the accounts systematically. A huge task. To get on to my own saga with KACPAW: I feel exhausted as I have had a most harrowing year last year and I believe you need to know some pleasant and unpleasant (mostly the latter) things that I went through to do what I have done for KACPAW. Let me begin, however, by wishing you all a very happy New Year and let me express my sincere gratitude to all of you for your continued support because of which we were able to survive so far. It's a pleasure to tell you that KACPAW has achieved all of its objectives by now, and hopefully, very soon, we may see the national rabies elimination (humane) program in place, starting off from the Central Province. More on that on pages 2-3. I firmly believe that KACPAW is the organization that can make the difference to all those helpless dogs on the street and provide a long-term solution to end their suffering.
