Sapporo Pioneers Toastmasters Club Membership

Membership in Sapporo Toastmasters is also membership in Toastmasters International.

When you join, you join a worldwide nonprofit organization of 220,000 members.  Toastmasters is the world's largest organization dedicated to improving communication and leadership skills.

Moreover, you join a family of 77 Toastmasters Clubs that comprise the District76.

We invite you to attend one or more of our club meetings as a guest.  Evaluate personally the benefits of club membership.  You can attend three meetings as a visitor or a prospective new member before deciding if Toastmasters is for you.  Once you decide to become a member, contact our Vice President Membership to fill out the membership forms.

Toastmasters is for individuals 18 years or older who have a desire to become better communicators. Communication skills are vital to one's profession, service activities, and personal life.

The diversity of our club members helps us to create a positive learning environment.  Our members range in age from early 20's to retired.  Clubs membership includes civil servants, self-employed entrepreneurs, professionals, educators, homemakers, as well as students and those who are "between jobs".

Your membership provides...

• New Member Kit within a week after your Application for Membership is received at world headquarters (Toastmasters International). The kit contains a Communication and Leadership Manual, a variety of orientation materials, and three skill improvement manuals: "Your Speaking Voice", "Effective Speech Evaluation", and "Gestures: Your Body Speaks".

• Access to professional educational materials and resources on speaking, listening, discussion, leadership skills, effective meeting procedures, and parliamentary procedure;

• Professional evaluation services, including friendly and helpful personal evaluations, as well as audio-visual techniques, which help you to continually improve your performance.

• The Toastmaster Magazine.  Each monthly issue gives insights into principles and practices of effective communication and leadership.
