Our Purpose
Effectiveness and contribution in life often depend upon your communication skills. Sapporo Toastmasters is dedicated to helping people develop effective communication and leadership skills, fostering self-confidence, personal growth, and human understanding.
Sapporo Toastmasters Club has introduced a proven, cost effective communication and leadership development program to Hokkaido. Club members learn by doing, and improve through the constructive feedback of peers. The atmosphere is always supportive, and usually lighthearted. Almost all members start out being afraid to speak in public and within six months are comfortable with public speaking. Through participation in the Toastmasters Communication and Leadership program, people from all backgrounds learn to effectively speak, conduct a meeting, manage a department or business, lead, delegate, and motivate.
Toastmasters International is the
leading movement devoted to making effective spoken communication a worldwide
reality. Through member clubs, Toastmasters International helps men
and women learn the arts of speaking, listening
and thinking - vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership
potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment
of mankind.
