Favourite Sites

The sites below reflect my personal interests. Some are dance related, some aren't, but these are the ones I go back to over and over again.
Minnesota Scottish Celtic Dance Association I don't know these people personally but they have a great site with lots of info about what going on the Scottish Dance world. They sponsor a Highland Dance Competiton on Valentine's weekend.
42nd Royal Highland Regiment (The Black Watch) This is a great group of guys who re-enact the Victorian era Black Watch regiment. They are really fabulous!
The Dancer's World Webring A great collection of dance related sites
Angus Campbell's Scottish Emporium A new Scottish shop. They're just getting started. But if they don't have what you need, they'll either get if for you, or tell you where you can get it! They also carry Craig Coussins' Hullachan Pro dance shoes - and they carry larger sizes for adult dancers.
The Yukon's Scottish and Celtic Influences This site is part of the Alaska Scottish Games page and tells about the history of Scots in the Yukon. If you have the game Yukon Trail - this really brings the game to life!
David Coulter's School of Scottish Highland Dancing He's got a great site, with good info, and a few surprises!
JoEllen's School of Scottish Dance This is one of the best teachers in the country. My friend Warring takes lessons from her.
Scottish Country Dance WWW Pages This is primarily a British Isles related page. There is some info for the US and other countries and there are some great articles and links for other dance sites.
Scottish Terrier Home Page I love scotties (have one named Angus) and this is the place to go if your looking for anything with scotties!
The Highland Trail - Falconry Today My other main interest is Falconry. This a nice little site that shows you the options for falconry in the British Isles. The school featured here is in Gleneagles, Scotland.
The Peregrine Fund Learn more about these fabulous birds and what falconry has done to save them from extinction.
Failte gu SMO - The Gaelic College on Skye Fabulous institution in a beautiful place. Check them out, they offer more than just Gaelic courses.
Speaking Our Language - Gaelic Study Course A multi-level study course that has been one of the most successful published! There is also a companion video program that is shown on Gaelic TV in Scotland. Videos are available in NTSV format.
Glasgow Rangers Unofficial Web Site It's not the official site, but it's my favourite!
Alex Scott & Co. (Kiltmakers) Ltd. Great, friendly service! And great prices!
The Kilt Carry Home Page If you have a kilt and you travel - you really need to check this out! This is the best way to keep your pleats sharp.
Laphroaig Laphroaig Whisky Home Page...'nuff said
Single Malt Scotch Society These are a great bunch of folks out of Colorado (originally!) who love their whisky!
The MacAllan The god of all single malts! It just doesn't get any better than this! (at least for me!)
Acme Whistles Makers of the famous Acme Thunderer and the Metropolitan Bobby Whistle - this is a fun site, with sound bites of all their different whistles.
