Johann Sebastian Bach was a famous German organist and composer of the baroque era. He was considered one of the most productive geniuses in the history in Western music. He years of life are 1685 to 1750. He was born on March 21, 1685 in Eisenach, Thüringen. His family was seven generations of 53 prominent musicians. J.S. Bach received his first musical instruction from his father, Johann Ambrosias, a town musician. At the age of fifteen Bach began to earn his own living as a chorister at the Church of Saint Michael in Lüneburg. At the age eighteen he became a violinist in the chamber orchestra of Prince Johann Ernst of Weimar, but later after that he moved to Arnstadt, where her became the organist for the church.
