Presenting: Netherlands Radio Boys Choir

Welcome

For those who would like to listen to some RealAudio while visiting Vienna Online, we present CL Florian's "Classical Surfing Music."
This is a showcase of broad talent.

Our featured group of artists for this month is the Netherlands Radio Boys Choir, stationed in Hilversum, Holland. I'm partial to boys choirs, having sung in several of them myself. But when you listen to the plainsong from the 11th century, sung by a boy soloist, you will without a doubt agree with me that a boy's voice has the most pure sound of any voice around.
The concert choir
Only founded in 1998, the boys choir can already look back proudly on many very interesting projects involving a wide variety of repertoire from Benjamin Britten to The Beatles. The choir is divided into a Concert Choir (see picture above) and a training choir and consists currently of 28 boys.

Mark Peterson is the conductor AND the webmaster, so you can be sure the choir's comprehensive website is always up to date! And this is how Mark sums up his current situation for me: "Although it's an uphill struggle building a good choir in the Netherlands, there's no shortage of young talent."

Would you like to submit your musical talents as Classical Surfing Music? This is not a contest - every reasonable offer accepted ;o) If you are a composer, conductor, vocalist, instrumentalist, make music with a group or alone, amateur or professional, here is your chance for extra exposure!
Simply email Florian for any questions or with the URL of your file, and he'll take it from there.
