FEATURED MUSIC
Fireworks Music by Georg Friedrich Handel is a triumphant piece written for the anniversary celebrations of the end of the War of Austrian Succession. This segment brings to mind the rejoicing that many people took part in during that time.

"Chitchat Polka" by Johann Strauss II is an uplifting dance, performed by the Orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper. It's live music in RealAudio format, perfect for New Year's Eve dancing. Check the Archives for previous Austrian Surfing Music selections.
VIENNA'S AWARDS
We've added two new sites to the ranks of the Vienna Award, including a Vienna leader's flute and dance site and a horn player's historical collection of strange and wonderful horns. You won't want to miss these great homepages, as well as the links to the dozens of other winners, as you wind your way through the streets of virtual Vienna. You might even want to submit your site for the journey!

Winners of the Vienna Award are eligible for the Vanguard Award, reserved for the best of the best. Take a look at the guidelines for the newest Vienna award, and visit the winners' sites.
Where can you find fractals in Vienna? What about a group of great dancer pages? Maybe some doctorate-level writings about the violin? Take a trip through some of the best Vienna leader pages to start the new year.

Find out the easy way to get yourself on the Internet playing music, without making people have to wait and wait and wait to download a gigantic wav file.
