In a dark, dark place, a lone person walks along a rocky plain... The narrator asks if we remember this person, and it turns out to be Dr. Myuu. There is a flashback to episode 22 and shows him, Bebi, the GT team, and what happened... Ending at when Bebi kills Dr. Myuu.

Another voice speaks saying he's been waiting for Dr. Myuu. Dr. Myuu looks to see Dr. Gero. Gero introduces himself and tells Myuu he's the smartest scientist on Earth. Then tells him he needs the help of his intellect. Dr. Myuu laughs telling him it's pathetic to know Gero is still conducting research in Hell. Gero asks "Even if it is revenge on Son Goku?" Gero smiles and puts out his hand... Myuu takes it, and tells him Son Goku will pay for what he did, and the partnership is formed. (title shot inserted here)

On Earth, things are the normal... At the Son household, Bulma and Bra are there having dinner with the Son Family (minus Goten). Bra comments on how good the food is, and Chi Chi tells her she can't cook fancy food like Bulma, but she's good at the traditional dishes. Bulma compliments her on the food too, and also tells her she's never seen these dishes before.

Bulma then asks what the meat that she's eating is. Chi Chi tells her it's Paozusarus. Bulma then looks at the meat realizing what it was, and Chi Chi tells her she's holding the best part from the tail. Chi Chi then goes on to explain the other dishes, which are fried Rainbow Toads, and Centipede Eel soup. Bulma, Bra, and Videl look at the soup (we see their reflection in it). Gohan tells them that they are all found on Mt. Paozu (where Goku used to live).

Pan says she loves the Rainbow Toads, Bra looks shocked, and Bulma asks if they eat this stuff all the time... Videl tells them it's fine if they get used to it... Bulma quietly goes "get used to it?" Then Pan notices Trunks is late and Goku asks Bulma about it. Bulma tells them he should be off work already, and the doorbell rings.

Pan goes to greet Trunks, but he looks battered, says "17", and collapses on Pan, which pinned her to the ground (Trunks' power shouldn't affect weight, and Pan is STRONG, so why was she struggling...). They all run to Trunks, then Pan notices something outside... The rest then notice, and their jaws drop... Pan walks outside to look, soon the others appear... Looking at the sky, they see a big black hole...

Goku senses an evil ki... Kaiou-sama (King Kai) interjects telepathically, and Goku asks how he is... On what appears to be his small planet again, he tells him he has a little cold right now (Bubbles and Gregory nursing him). Then tells him there's no time for that now, and goes on to say the Earth and Hell are now connected somehow. Looking around the world, we see those black holes all over the place, even above Ubuu's village. Even Krillen (always carrying bags for some reason), #18, and Maron see it...

Outside a city, a figure stands on a cliff emitting a black aura... It is Android #17, and he hears the phrase in his own voice "I am you, you are me. We will become one". In Hell, another #17 (who's also emitting a black aura) is saying all this and continues saying that they'll open the gates of Hell and bring the real world and the afterlife together.

Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu watch Android #17 on a crystal ball. The new #17 powers up, then the old #17 powers up too, and sends his energy into the black hole. The new #17 does the same from to the hole in Hell. The two energy clash together making the black holes grow larger, and start lightning storms...

Some people in a city thinks it's the end of the world... Goten and Palace are on a rooftop watching this... Some guy starts looting and takes a big white box (some appliance label of WTV, so could be a TV) from a store, but is tripped as he leaves. The guy gets mad and attacks, and his face meets a fist. The guys is knocked silly, and we see Vegeta standing over him, then looks into the sky.

At Satan City, on the TV, the King of the World tries to calm the people down. Mr. Satan is in his mansion packing things... LOTS of things... The city is gridlocked... Traffic not moving at all... The old #17 continues to be powered up, he says a new power flows though him... The powers of Hell.

In Hell, the staff (those blue skinned ogre men or Oni) are all tied and gagged. A mechanical crane grabs a bunch of them and drops them into the black hole. They fall through on to the Earth, and the people start thinking they are demons. The two Doctors see this and are delighted the first stage of their plan is a success. Dr. Myuu goes on saying that the power derived from the resonation of the two #17s joined the two worlds together.

Dr. Gero gives him a glass of wine for a toast. He then thanks Dr. Myuu because it was his Machine Mutant theory that made it all possible. He goes on saying that his dream of creating the ultimate Android will finally come true. Dr. Gero explains that #17 was supposed to have powers greater than Cell, but... (flashes back to DBZ when #17 was activated, then rebelled, then killed Gero) Gero continues telling us that they held a grudge against him for wiping out their human memories...

Dr. Gero explains that #17 was an incomplete failure. Dr. Myuu then realizes that those potential powers are still within #17. Dr. Gero tells him that the new #17 will compliment the incomplete one. Showing a computer screen of their key components, Dr. Gero goes on to say that when the two become one, the parts within him will be complete, and will become the new ultimate weapon with powers they've never seen before. (a brief flash of Super 17 is seen)

Then Dr. Gero says he'll kill all those people that just put him aside, and starts laughing evily... Dr. Myuu tells him that they still have a monkey to get rid of... Dr. Gero tells him not to worry and that stage 2 has been set. He goes on saying that it won't be fun to just kill Goku, so they'll let him suffer the eternal torture.

(Commercial Break)

The unconscience Trunks wakes up. His mother Bulma is by his side and she asks if he's ok... Trunks tells her he's fine, and to not tell father. She winks at him. The others are all standing in the doorway, and they start bombarding him with questions. Goku: "What happened anyways?" Pan: "What's the story with the two worlds joining?" Bra: "Is that hole in the sky a tunnel?" Videl: "Is it growing bigger?" Chi Chi: "Did you meet #17? Did he get you?"

The overwhelmed Trunks starts the story... He was on his way to Goku's house in the company car... (flashback) A red limo is going along with Trunks in the backseat changing. He asks the driver to go faster since he's already late. Later, on a more secluded road, a figure jumps in front of the car. The driver couldn't stop in time and crashes into #17 (car wrecked).

Trunks checks on the driver, but he is unconscience. #17 energizes a blast and fires, but Trunks jumps out of the way with the driver. Trunks senses that he has the same force as #18 (same force? thought they can't be sensed... so they adapted to be able to sense them now, or he means the same "lack of force", or this is just a plot hole). #17 then disappears and re-appears to kick Trunks, and he finally realizes that he's #17.

#17 jumps up and prepares another blast, and Trunks jumps in front of the fallen driver to take the shot dead on. #17 tells him to look at the black hole, and it grows as he speaks... He tells him that it leads to Hell. All those that were killed by Son Goku will be revived to have their revenge on him. #17 tells Trunks to tell Goku that if he has the balls to fight them, he should come down to Hell alone, and #17 flies off.

Back in the present, Goku just heard the message... Gohan comes in to tell him to look at the TV. It shows the dead coming back to Earth (Kooler, #19, Sargent Metallic, Pui Pui, Reccome, Guldo, Babidi, King Kold, Kui, Radditz, Black Hosa, Dodoria, and Zarbon are the ones I think I saw). Goku thinks that they can't stop it if it's happening all over the place... Bulma asks what will happen if Cell and Frieza comes back to life...

Goku then agrees to go to Hell, Bulma tells him not to say that so easily, and Goku gets up, excited to see how much stronger Cell and Freiza becomes. Chi Chi is first to realize this, and Pan wants to go too. Bulma sighs and says she can't keep up with them... Outside, Goku waves goodbye to the others and saying he'll be back in a few... He powers up and flies into the black hole...

In the city, Palace watches from behind a corner... Pui Pui (Babidi's level one minion) is firing many blasts at Goten. He dodges them all and kicks him into a wall. Palace claps cheering for Goten. But then, an explosion blows Goten away, and Yakun (Babidi's level 2 minion) appears. He approaches Goten and extends a claw out... But he gets blasted away by... Trunks.

Palace runs to Goten to check on him, and Trunks asks if he's interupting something... Goten says he was going to show her some cool moves... They look at each other then with one arm each, blast a dark alley. A scream, and an explosion happens, and out pops #19's head (again, sensed an android?). Elsewhere, Mr. Satan is running from Black Hosa (in his suit), Sargent Metallic, Blue Shogun (in an aircraft), and Yellow Taisa (in a plane). (Oh, all were part of Red Ribbon, an evil miltia in DB, go to DB section for details) Pan appears and takes them all out easily.

In Hell, Goku pops in saying it looks familiar since he was here a long time ago... He sees the tied up Oni and goes to them wondering what's going on, and asks if they are playing tag... Dr. Gero then welcomes Goku to Hell. Dr. Myuu tells him he knew he would come... Goku recognizes Dr. Myuu and laughs that he ended up in Hell. The Doctors start a evil chuckle... Goku realizes they are working together, and tells them that if they wanted to see him, they should've asked in the first place.

Goku prepares his stance and is ready to fight both of them. Dr. Gero says they don't have time to play and they say goodbye, and fly off. Goku gets upset asking what they mean, and thinks they are chickening out after he came all this way... The Doctors fly into the hole with the new #17, and the hole starts closing. Goku flies after them, but the hole closes and he hits his head on the ground.

The Oni watch as Goku bangs on the ground, then Dr. Gero's voice booms saying he fell for it... On Earth, he continues saying that he won't be able to return to the real world again... Goku is to stay in Hell, alive, forever... Dr. Myuu goes "A world without Goku is a world under their control", and laughs evily...

Pan and Mr. Satan see that the hole is closed now... She realizing that if Goku can't come back from Hell, it's the same as dying, and starts crying in Mr. Satan's arms. He says he has no idea what's going on... In Hell, Goku's upset he's been tricked... Then he bets that the resurrection of Cell and Frieza was also a lie to get him here...

Frieza's voice then asks "is that so?"... Frieza and Cell appear above Goku... Cell says that they'll never betray other people's expectations... Goku gets excited again... On Earth, Dr. Gero says stage 2 "Goku's Confinement" is completed, Myuu tells him to move on to stage 3, and Gero yells "Attack!". The narrator asks if Pan and the others are able to save the world... Meanwhile, Goku's battle against Cell and Frieza is about to start... Goku goes "I am not the same Goku as before" and stands ready to fight.
