A city is in ruins... Tracks run along the desert sand... In the empty city, Gill detects a Dragon Ball. Pan hits him for being so annoying, and asks him to be more specific. She tells him that she doesn't even see a tail of an evil dragon. She thinks Gill may be broken because of the hot weather. Gill tells her that there's no mistake, and the Dragon Ball is nearby. Goku is getting hungry, and wonders if the Dragon Ball is really in the city.

Pan complains about the heat, and looks at the sun, loathing it. Then she realizes the sun should've been blocked off by the evil. Goku thinks since they've defeated so many evil dragons, the weather must be returning to normal. They continue looking around for the Dragon Ball, then Pan notices the sun grew in size. Goku thinks she's seeing things, thinking she must be scared of the sun since she almost died on that Desert Planet once (Episode 15).

Pan warns Goku of danger, and yells for him to dodge. Goku looks up, and sees a red creature land on the bus he was on, which blows it up. Goku manages to jump out of the way, and the red creature (tall skinny gargoyle) lands on a ledge. Goku asks if he's an evil dragon, and it tells him that he's good, and it is certainly Son Goku. He tells him that he's Suu Shinlon (Four Star Dragon), and that he's been waiting for a long time for a fight.

Goku asks Suu Shinlon if he also means that he has the 4 star ball. Suu shows his palm, and the 4 star ball emerges. Goku tells him that the 4 star ball is rightfully his, it was his grandpa's momento. Suu tells him that he must beat him if he wants to get it back. Pan thinks it's no problem, and warns him that they are very powerful and are unbeatable. She warns him that they've already beaten 4 of the evil dragons, and Goku warns her to be careful because Suu Shinlon seems different.

Pan tell Goku there won't be a problem, and to let her beat him. She tells Suu Shinlon that she'll soon put him in her backpack with his buddies, and launches to attack, while Goku yells at her not to. As Pan punches, Suu dodges, and elbows her in the back. She is knocked out, and Suu grabs onto her, then laughs. Goku yells at Suu to let go of Pan and is ready to attack. Suu Shinlon just throws her aside (Goku stops, Gill goes to her), and tells Goku not to worry, he's letting her sleep so their match would be undisturbed.

Goku notices Suu's confidence in his own skills, and accepts the challenge. Suu Shinlon powers up a blast (glowing fist, with 3-4 golden orbs rotating around it), and Goku notices that Suu's power is special. Suu tells him that the match will start when the statue hits the ground (it's on a building nearby). Goku understands, and also asks him which wish he came from. Suu tells him that it was the time Piccolo Daimaou wished back his youth to regain his powers (In the original Dragon Ball).

Suu Shinlon fires the blast at the statue, they watch it fall, and prepare. The moment it hits, they both disappear, and brief flashes of their clashes are shown. They appear in the midst of some rocks, and Suu Shinlon punches right through one (literally, hand in rock, without rock breaking up). Goku kicks, but Suu dodges, then glows a firey red. Goku punches, but it is also dodged, this time though, Goku's fist goes up in flames. Goku runs away complaining about the fire, as the rocks fall to the ground, and Suu Shinlon lands behind him.

Suu Shinlon stops glowing as Goku blows on his hand, and wonders what happened since he didn't even touch him yet. Suu Shinlon then repeatedly blasts him, and Goku barely avoids each of them as he ducks behind a corner of a building. Suu Shinlon tells him that his body can go up to temperatures on the surface of the sun, 6000°C. Goku looks out, and finds that he has disappeared, so he steps out. Then, up above in the sky, Suu Shinlon sends many many blast in Goku's direction, with him again barely dodging and complaining about the heat.

Goku eventually runs (breaks) into a hotel (with a sphinx in front). Suu Shinlon arrives, melting the ground he lands on, and melts his way through a cement wall in. Goku thinks he's in trouble, hanging with his table upside down on the chandelier. He knows he can't hit him with his body at that high of a temperature, and believes he'll just have to use energy attacks. Then the place lights up as Suu Shinlon prepares to blast him. Goku dodges, and crawls away realizing he hide his ki as well.

Goku starts running up some stairs... Suu Shinlon is walking down a hall... Goku continues up some stairs... Suu Shinlon walks nearby... In a room under a desk, Goku takes a breather, and thinks he's getting old. The sounds of Suu Shinlon melting in is heard, and we hear him walking in. He looks around a bit, then leaves. Goku relaxes a bit by lying down and thinks if he doesn't hurry and figure out something, he may not be able to beat him.

Then, the ceiling glows a red hot, as Suu Shinlon drops in almost stomping on Goku. Goku complains about the heat, and narrowly avoids the blows. Then Suu throws a punch towards his face, and Goku closes his eyes. Suu's arms glow more red, and Goku is engulfed in flames. Goku runs away, and berates Suu to follow him. Suu starts melting a wall to leave the room. Goku runs down some stairs, and thinks he need a plan or he'll lose. Suu Shinlon is now ready to chase him.

(Commercial Break)

Footsteps of running echos the hotel... Goku is running down some stairs... At the bottom Suu Shinlon waits... Goku is running down a hall... Suu Shinlon is lying down, waiting behind a corner... Goku runs up some stairs... Suu Shinlon is seen on the other side of the floor... Goku gets scared and runs down a hall, and Suu Shinlon follows.

A door is opened, and Suu Shinlon steps through. He looks, then leaves. As the door closes, Goku is seen to be behind it, now flattened like a pancake. He recovers on the floor, and complains about the pain. Suu Shinlon searchs other rooms, and as he opens one, the door seems to light up... A blast comes out of it hitting Suu Shinlon away into the wall. Goku stands inside, and is ready to counter-attack.

After the dust settles, Suu Shinlon is holding two orange orbs in each of his hands. Goku gets scared, and outside, we see blasts going through the hotel. Back inside, there are new holes around, and then we see a hole through the ceiling... Goku is outside preparing a Kamehameha. He fires it, and it hits with an explosion. Goku cheers, but then Suu Shinlon, inside an orange shield, flies up. Suu then fires many blasts at Goku, and Goku now realizes he has no where to hide as he dodges. Goku flies down, and Suu stops blasting.

Elsewhere, Gill, wearing Pan's backpack looks over Pan. Gill comments on how Pan is cute when she's asleep, and his face starts blushing red. Then, he yells danger, as ice forms all around them. An ice block appears and kicks Gill away. The backpack is thrown off and a hand in ice catches it. Gill lands and appears to be broken, short circuited and shut down. Then, the creature covered in ice breaks out of it, and it appears to be a bluish-green Suu Shinlon. He comments on how he should "take care of this one first".

Back at the battle, Suu Shinlon lands on to ground but sees no Goku. Behind him, Goku appears from a manhole (with the cover on his head) and blasts Suu as he looks in his direction. He hits him several more times until Suu blasts back, but Goku ducks into the sewers to avoid that. Goku comes up and blasts him again, but Suu dodges and blasts back. Goku goes back down, and re-appears in a manhole behind Suu. Then, a routine of disappearing/appearing in/out of several manholes and blasting Suu occurs.

Then, Goku appears again, but Suu Shinlon is no where to be seen... On of Suu's foot then lands gently on top of the manhole cover Goku's under... It starts to heat up, red hot, and Suu Shinlon is seen floating above. Goku drops into the sewers cooling his head in the sewage... He thinks to himself that he has to have a plan, and Suu melts his way in. Goku runs, until he reaches a giant ventilator fan.

Goku is trapped, looking for a way out, as Suu Shinlon approaches... With a sweat going down the side of his face, he decides to jump between the blades of the fan (fan not spinning fast anyways) to escape. Goku flies outside through a pipe, and lands on his head in what could be a sewage treatment plant (the collecting area). Suu is melting his way through and tells Goku that it's almost time...

Suu Shinlon comes through, and a bunch of lights appears in his hands... He crosses them on his chest, and a giant lens appears... He yells, firing a beam that focused by the lens at Goku. Goku jumps out of the way and realizes that Suu's special ki is based on heat, and when he focuses it, it can be a beam. Goku dodges more of the beam, but is then struck (a bit) and falls to the ground.

Goku thinks to himself that if he gets hit, he'll be finished. Suu prepares the "lens beam" (my name for it right now) again, and tells Goku that he has no where left to run, and yells that it's the final blow... As he fires, Goku jumps up and uses the Taiyo-ken (Solar Flare), then fires a blast knocking Suu Shinlon away.

Goku tells him he knows Suu isn't so easily beat, and wants him to fight seriously. Suu complies, and powers up, cracking the skin on his body... It shatters, breaking away to reveal a golden coloured Suu Shinlon. Suu tells Goku that he needed that skin to store all the heat in his body, then asks that Goku repay the favor, and also fight with a more serious look...

Goku complies, and turns into the Super Saiya-jin 4, and tells Suu that he no longer has to fear the 6000°C power anymore in this form... Goku powers up destroying the ground beneath and around him... Round 2 of the battle between Goku and Suu Shinlon is about to begin... Their battle will be hotter than the sun...
