Ii Shinlon walks slowly towards Goku and Vegeta asking them to decide who he should kill first... Vegeta asks Kakarotto that if they fuse now, will they be able to go SSJ4... Goku tells him it is not possible, the difference in size between them is too great, so they can't fuse. Ii then says to not bother, he'll kill them both at one, and he starts running at them. Goku and Vegeta both get hit in the face, and they take down another building in a collision... Ii Shinlon runs at them again, and Goku and Vegeta are struck into a broken road.

Goku asks Vegeta if he saw that last attack... Vegeta tells him to shut up, and to not ask such pointless things, then he sees something... Ii Shinlon is up in the sky, and raises his hand up into the air... A ball of energy appear, and he tells them that he'll just destroy the whole Earth now... Ii tells them that last time (the Negative Energy Power Ball in Episode 60) they were lucky to kick it away, but judging from their energy now, they won't be able to do anything... Ii's Power Ball grows bigger, and thinks if the ball is this size, it should vapourize the planet... Goku sees that he's serious now... Mr. Satan falls to his knees, and thinks it's all over... The other good guys watch with concern...

Ii Shinlon throws the ball yelling to Goku to die with the planet... Vegeta starts a Final Shine Attack (though he was in a Final Flash position)... Goku headbutts him out of the way, and faces the Power Ball alone... He tells Ii that he won't be able to destroy the Earth... Goku puts his hands forwards and pushes at the Power Ball... His foot is dug into the ground... Vegeta lands in a distance and yells "Kakarotto!" Goku tells Ii that he won't let him... The ball pushes at Goku more... Goku starts saying that they've been using the Dragon Balls to restore the Earth each time, but now, they can't use them... Goku starts pushing the Power Ball back... His wrist wraps vapourize off... Goku takes another step pushing the ball back... He knows that this time, they have to save the world on his own...

Goku pushes it forward more, but Ii forces it back making Goku's feet dig into the ground again... Goku again pushes foward... His family call to him (Gohan, Pan, Chi Chi, and Goten)... Goku is dug into the cement ground some more... Goku thinks of them as well, and the Earth, but Goku is pushed further down... Goku yells that he won't just let them be destroyed, and he starts powering up destroying the ground around him and pushing the ball up again... Ii calls Goku and idiot, and his Dragon Balls glow, and Ii sends more energy into the power ball... The power ball grows even more, which overwhelms Goku... His scream is heard... Vegeta is blown away... A huge energy surge is seen from space, with energy rippling along the Earth's surface...

Back on Earth, the whole city is practically gone... Some ruins covered in sand. Mr. Satan gets up, and wonders if it's ok... He sees the others all looking at something... Mr. Satan comes up and sees a GIGANTIC hole. Ii Shinlon lands on what's left of a large radio antenae. He says that he (Goku) only stopped the Earth from exploding... But in exchange for his own life. A black aura appears around Ii... It goes up and turns the sky black... Pan cries for her lost grandpa... As the blackness grows, Ii says that he isn't stopped... He will soon cover the Earth with his negative energy, and the Earth would be destroyed. He tells Goku that he died in vain, and laughs.

Pan gets more upset... Lightning is now seen in the distance... A tsunami is wipes out a fishing village (looks like the one from before)... Lightning destroys buildings and bridges, and sets fires in another city... Many lights of destruction are seen as the darkness covers the Earth... Trunks experiences an earthquake... Ii is glad that the Earth will soon be destroyed... Vegeta steps up, and feels that they have lost. He's angry and punches a wall, Bulma notices and goes to him... Vegeta remembers that his home planet, Planet Vegeta, was destroyed by Freeza, now it's the Earth. He gets mad and powers up.

Vegeta flies up and stops by Trunks... He tells them all to leave, take Bulma's spaceship and leave before the Earth is destroyed... Vegeta tells them that if they survive, then there's a chance they can beat Ii... He tells Trunks, Gohan, and Goten that they must wait for a chance to avenge Kakarotto... Then, Vegeta flies off to Ii Shinlon. Ii Shinlon asks Vegeta "aren't you dead yet?", and Vegeta tells him not to worry because he won't die in the middle of a battle. Vegeta powers up to Super Saiya-jin.

(Commercial Break)

Lightning stikes the area as the team fly away... Trunks stops, and thinks goodbye to his mother, then flies back. Pan notices and is about to go too, but Gohan stops her. He hands her Mr. Satan, and tells her to take care of Videl and Chi Chi, then he flies back. Goten hands Chi Chi over to Ubuu, and tells him to take care of them all... Chi Chi tells Goten to go, him and Gohan are Goku's good sons, and must work hard. Goten flies back to join the others, and three lights disappear in the distance. Videl, holding Bulma, looks back... Bulma thinks they are all idiots...

Lightning wipes out more buildings... The streets are empty... In an underground subway station, many people huddle by a fire and a small TV... It is the King of the World talking, but then the signal is lost... Lightning is seen destroying the King's Palace. In another city, people run in panic as flames are all around... A big TV in the square has a reporter saying the King's Palace exploded when lightning hit. Lightning is seen blowing up (completely) another city.

Back at the battle site... In the dark and deep pit... Goku lies lifeless... But is thinking... Wanting everyone's energy, and saying that he won't die yet... Up above, Ii Shinlon blasts Vegeta in the face, and he falls to the ground throwing up a cloud of dust... Ii Shinlon sends one final blast into the dust, but it is knocked away. After it settles, we see Trunks is now by his father, Goten and Gohan also arrive. Vegeta says that they should take Ii on together, and they all power up to Super Saiya-jin. They fly at Ii blasting him, but he either dodges or it has no effect.

Ii calls them idiots and goes above Trunks and fires energy missiles at them... It hits Trunks, Gohan, and Goten taking them out... Vegeta appears behind him to attack with a Final Shine, but Ii extends his spikes up impaling Vegeta by the shoulder. Then Ii Shinlon goes "Evil Dragon Thunder" and Vegeta is electrocuted, until he loses his SSJ. Ii then hurls him into the ground. Vegeta notices the others are down... He tells Kakarotto it's up to him now, and to give him some strength. Vegeta attacks yelling "Kakarotto!" but Ii dodges and kicks him back... Vegeta lands on the edge of the pit and looks down.

Ii Shinlon walks closer to Vegeta, and tells him it is finally his turn... He will send him to Son Goku to keep him company. Vegeta starts laughing asking what he's talking about... He tells Ii that he will be the one that loses, and faints. Rocks start floating up from the pit, followed by a bright white/blue ball. Ii Shinlon is shocked at this... Under the ball, Goku is floating, with arms up high in the air... This is the Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb). Ii is shocked that he's still alive, Goku tells Ii that he won't die so easily til he beats him. Goku floats up high in the sky with the Genki Dama... More energy is released from the planet life to feed it... People in cities all raise their hands to give him their energy... Energy is coming from all over the land, and the Genki Dama grows bigger, and bigger.

The Genki Dama reaches the black clouds in the sky and pushes it all away... The darkness that covered the Earth disappears by the light of the Genki Dama... Goku tells him that this is the hope of the Earth, and also the scream the damaged Earth... Ii thinks it's impossible, Goku is supposed to be dead, and struggles to grasp that he's resurrected... Goku laughs, and Ii starts blasting Goku to no effect... Goku calls (in mind) to Kaiou-sama (King Kai), and on the Kaiou Homeworld, he tells him that he hears him clearly, and congratulates him on finally figuring out that to beat the evil he had to use the move he taught him, the Genki Dama. Goku tells him that it may not work, Ii continues to blast Goku, and Goku tells Kaiou that he can't beat him with a ball this size... He's already taken all the energy he can from the Earth, so now he wants to take energy from the entire universe.

Kaiou-sama understands, and Goku asks him to send his voice out to the universe. Kaiou-sama tells him to leave it to him, and he calls to the other Kaious (East, South, and West), and asks them to help him. Goku then yells "The people of the Universe, please give your energy to me!" On New Namek, all the Nameks raise their hands to give the energy. On Planet Lude, the Para Brothers are dancing with a group people, and recognize Goku's voice. Goku yells that all they have to do is raise their hands to the sky. The Paras do a little dance (Lude people follow along) and then they raise their hands. On Planet Amiga, the old couple and others also raise their hands. Including Don Keo, Veijin, and Ziguel, who are in prison cells. The Giant on another planet even raises his hands. On the world with Zuunama, all the villagers, and Zuunama, who now work the fields, raise their hands as well. Even on Planet Kitai, the doctor, the boy (still injured?), and others do it.

In space, white streaks of energy fly towards the Earth... They enter and streak across the sky... The make a turn, and Videl has to move quick to avoid them. They all stop, and wonder... Pan then recogizes the energy from the various planets she's been to, then sees that they are all heading towards the white light in the distance. Pan realizes it's her grandpa. The energy all collect in the Genki Dama, making it grow even larger, and Goku thanks them all. Ii Shinlon creates another Power Ball and hurls it at Goku... It hits blowing up, but Goku is unaffected to Ii's surprise. Ii asks... "What are you?"

The Genki Dama glows brighter, and the Saiya-jins all wake up to see this. Pan, Videl, and Ubuu fly back delighted to witness this. Pan thinks Goku looks like a god. Goku tells Ii to die, and Ii just says "Wait.. No...", but Goku throws the Genki Dama at him. Ii is scared stiff, and the Genki Dama hits the ground, the Ii vapourizing him, and the Genki Dama continues going and goes up into the sky and explodes. A long trail was left after it was over, and the others now all call out to Goku looking for him. The find him at the edge of the Genki Dama trail beside the Dark Dragon Balls with are restored in front of them.

Goku lies lifeless, and Pan shakes him... The Dragon Balls start to glow, and Shenlon comes out on his own. Bulma is shocked since they didn't summon him... Shenlon's eyes glow red as he floats above the lifeless Goku in the blue sky...
