Multi-day rafting trips ($ 350 US pp)

Introduction

Two and half day trip. This trip is a wilderness experience and runs on a self-contained basis with overnight camping on soft sandy beaches. This trip runs at Low Water approx. August to January.

Check-In/ Depature

Clients are expected to check-in at TATENDA LODGES AT 0745 hrs.

  • Briefing

This is held at The TATENDA LODGES RESTAURANT and basically covers areas such as:

  1. Conditions of the river and rapids

  2. The grading system of the rapids

  3. Meals

  4. Climb-up and climb-down the gorge

  5. Clothing

  6. Medical conditions of clients

  7. Grouping i.e. people wishing to be on the same boat

  8. Airport transfers

  • Safety talk

Once the briefing is completed passengers are given a comprehensive safety brief before descending into the gorges.

  • The Trip

Rapids #4-#21 as per full Day rafting. Clients are returned to town at approximately 9am the following morning

  • Accommodation- Clients sleep in beach tents on form mattresses. All bedding is provided and mosquito nets included. The tents sleep two clients each.

  • Ablutions- Portable toilets are carried on multi-day trips and are discreetly positioned. Water buckets are available.

  • Food and drink- An assortment of minerals and alcoholic beverages is available.. Dinner consists of a barbecue baked potatoes and salads, prepared by our guides with a full break fast in the morning.
