Back To Concordia's Poem List

Exanimo

It all started with a single spark
I was inflamed with love and charm
Against my own will I was drawn
By a force far greater than my own

Was it your voice that enthralled me?
Or your presence that I've yet to see
Is it your gentleness and good conscience
That made me venerate your existence?

Walk through fire I will for you
To justify that what I feel is true
But my love is a tragical mirth
All emotions confined within me seethe

How can I tell you the virtue of my heart
The object of my pleasure
With sighs of love, by some illusion I see
Our hearts interchained, our souls incorporate

I am a fool who aspires the moon
Precious celestial...
I can never have
Unworthy as I am, pursue you I will not

For your heart belongs to another
Soon the sealing day will come
Pledging your love in an everlasting bond
The seal of bliss... your souls will unite

Be shrew my heart! It's all your fault
How can I ease my anguish?
In silence I die a thousand deaths
Thinking of what could've been will never be

You thief of love! You stole my heart
In secrecy I will love you, alone...
My love, my life, my soul
Until forever cease to exist...
