Memories Of Phuket Bay

Blue umbrellas line the beach
along the Bang Thao Bay. Just a little
closer to the sky sunbathers,
shiny and heated bare in their skin.

As I stare across the sandy coastline
Haili walks by and offers his hand,
warmth and innocence touch me
and I reach out to hold on for only a moment.
Throughout the day I cherish the encounter
and hope secretly that there will be another;
"I like you... a little less than love" he says.

The boys work on the beach,
selling jetski rides and snorkeling
amusement to all those "getting away"
from Life.

The Andaman Sea is soft and moving,
beautiful to breathe and heavenly
to be a part of.

Tiny sand crabs scutter between
human existence, and find holes
to bury themselves.  Their eyes stick out
from their bodies and remind me
how alien our own planet is.

The longtail boat is a beautiful site,
blending in peaceful harmony,
its lines and elegance
reaching out and upwards.
The dark body stands in balance
adding harmony as he moves the sea.

Lin shows me how to feed the fish
within the corals, their excitement
aimed at the open shell in my palm.
Bliss and wonder, amazement and love,
innocence and truth!

Ahh! Blessed are they
who have shown me Life!
