THESIS:“Analysis of two server polling system with overlapping skills and 1-limited service”
The main aim of the thesis was to find the optimal division of load in the three queues, i.e. the optimal degree of overlap of skills between the two servers with waiting time in queue as the performance measure. A method was recommended to approximate the mean waiting time in a queue that can be used to determine the optimal allocation of load to the three queues. Software used: FORTRAN and SLAM II.
Courses taken include: Fundamentals of Statistics, Queueing Theory, Stochastic Procedures &Applications, Order Statistics, Design of Experiments and Regression, and Design of Experiments. |
1994 - 1996 |

PROJECT: “The Development Of Indian Telecom Sector: The Gap Between Demand And Supply; And It's Financial Implications”.
It was graded as the best in the class.
The demand and supply of the telephone services in India was forecasted using Econometrics methods and the best financial alternative to meet the demand was established using the Linear Programming. Software used: RATS (Regression and Time Series) and TORA (Operations research package).
